...manage to CON enough young people into thinking there's any honor in becoming cannon fodder in his illegal and mindless "war" in Iraq? How can anyone be crazy enough to ENLIST any more, since that would be their most likely assignment?

(I posted a question similar to this a few days ago, and got some decent responses. Of the 20, of course, there were some who were hawks, but they didn't seem to have much in the way of a grasp of the obvious FACTS regarding that losing debacle. UNfortunately, some loony tune deleted the question. That's the bad news. The good news is that I'd already printed it out, along with all its answers, BEFORE that happened to it! This last paragraph is just for the benefit of any who think I asked this before. Yes -- it was a *similar* question. And when it vaporized for absolutely *****NO***** good reason whatsoever (!!!!), it was still an OPEN question!)

One of my good friends is an illegal immigrant (not from Mexico), who is the hardest working man I've met! He has never taken advantage of services like welfare & what not, he paid out of his pocket for the birth of his first child! He pays taxes! He knows english! Never asked for food stamps, wic, or any of that! Never been arrested, never got a ticket, the only thing he's ever done is stay on an expired visa! I think y'all have a bad image of illegal immigrants, they (most, not all), come here to work not to freeload! Sure there are some bad people that should be deported but not all are like that! I feel that if ur contributing to this country and living a descent life then they should be allowed to stay here if not get the hell out of here!!

Keep bragging Clintonites about that great budget, because in 20 years thats not what the history books will say, just the opposite.
And if Bush is successfull in the Middle East, the word Clinton and the word coward will have the same meaning.

Yesterday, Iraq's parliament began a month-long vacation.
U.S. troops are dying.
President Bush's nominee to be top military adviser said today the United States will be in Iraq for "years not months".
And a Pentagon official said the war was costing even more than expected.

Regardless of your stand on the Iraq invasion and the recent so-called “troop surge”, at THIS point in time, do you feel as if we’re wasting our people and resources over there?

IF THE WORLD MAKES IT TO 2008 AD AND THE FIRST OF TWO RAPTURE EVENTS HAS NOT YET OCCURED: THERE IS THE HIGHEST PROBABILITY THAT HILLARY CLINTON WILL WIN THE 2008 PRESIDENTAL ELECTION. DECEIVED "SOCCER MOMS", COLLLEGE STUDENTS "EN MASSE" LED BY ROCK STARS & BANDS AND MANY BRAINWASHED TO BELIEVE THAT PRESIDENT BUSH IS THE "DEVIL'S ADVOCATE" WILL VOTE FOR HILLARY AS "THE NEW SAVIOR" OF AMERICA POLITICS. HERE IS THE AMERICA THAT HILLARY CLINTON ENVISIONS FOR US ALL. NOTE:HILLARY CLINTON IS WEARING THE "MASK" OF A "MOVE TO THE CENTER" "CONSERVATIVE". DON'T LET HER FOOL YOU. BENEATH THAT DISGUISE IS A HARD- CORE, ULTRA-RADICAL, LIBERAL, SOCIALIST EXTREMEIST. REMEMBER TOO THAT HITLER CAME TO POWER AS THE LEADER OF THE "NATIONALIST SOCIALIST PARTY. THE ELECTION OF HILLARY CLINTON TO THE WHITE HOUSE WILL SEAL THE DOOM OF AMERICA JUST AS THE ELECTION OF ADOLF HITLER SEALED THE FATE OF NAZI GERMANY. HILLARY CLINTON IS ANTI- CHRISTIAN, ANTI-ISRAEL ANTI-GOD.

I was arrested about a month ago for a crime I did not commit (Public lewdness). The case was dismissed. Yesterday I receive a call from a co-worker saying that the incident was in a local newspaper. The date on the newspaper was the 18th As I read the article I noticed that it mentions what school I work at, subject I teach, the make/model car I drive, the arresting picture and contact to my job was attempted. The article did not mention that the case was dismissed. Because of this incident, I fear that my reputation as a teacher is severely Damaged and I may loose my job.
Is this considered in any way slander or defamation of character?
Is it possible to get the article reprinted with the entire story?
or can I ask them to remove my picture from the internet?
If I choose to sue, what are my chances of a positive outcome?
HELP!!!

My son was born in US early this year. My husband is a Canadian, he wants to apply a passport for our son in Canada instead of applying from US. My nationality is a third country, neither American nor Canadian. My question is: If my child obtains a passport from Canada, does it mean that he becomes a Canadian citizen? And, will he lose his US citizenship afterwards?

would she/he pull the troops out of Iraq ASAP?

Or as I believe will they stay, because in spite of all the rhetoric about how the war is bad and such, They (Hillary or Obama) know that if America leaves the job unfinished we will be attacked again.
I think that They (Hillary or Obama) well at least Hillary is smart enough to see this truth.

What do you think?

Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers individual and other societal interests subordinate to the needs of the state, and seeks to forge a type of national unity, usually based on, but not limited to, ethnic, cultural, or racial attributes. Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, authoritarianism, statism, militarism, corporatism, populism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, racism and opposition to economic and political liberalism. Nevertheless, contrary to popular belief, racism is not a requirement of Fascism

we now have to pay for the war in Darfur. The UN is sending 26000 troops but we have to help pay for it. We need to keep out of it like the world always tells us. Why is this any different than Iraq? And don't give me the genocide excuse.

Quote
"More than 3,600 people, including around 2,000 civilians and 1,000 members of the security forces, were killed over the following three decades. Paramilitary groups were responsible for over 3,000 deaths while security forces killed around 300."
Unquote .

Any who know anything of Northern Ireland know how ridiculous these figures actually are .

An Irish Catholic seen running to catch a bus would be shot on sight by a British soldier , it would then be announced by a British Police Force through British press that an IRA terrorist executed what was thought to be an IRA informer .
(CASE CLOSED!)

What do you believe ?

This is serious, I'm not looking for smart *** answers. I get that you don't like Bush and you believed he lied about going into Iraq. But now that we are there and terrorists are there (and we are gonna have to fight them somewhere) why don't we continue fighting them in Iraq? Every life lost over there is tragic, but in comparison to other wars and to what could happen if we retreat I think the total numbers of soldiers lost is low. If we do pull out of Iraq what would be your solution for fighting terrorism?

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that Hillary Clinton wins the next election. She is sworn in and the war continues as it is for nine months. Then, in September 2009, Muslim extremists fly planes into buildings in a major city in the United States.

Who is to blame? George W. Bush, for not doing enough about terrorism while he was in office? Or Hillary Clinton, or not doing enough in her first nine months in office?

I'm curious what people think about this.

I've always dreamed of moving to Canada (currently in the US as a permanent resident). I would really like to take up a full-time job in Canada, in the field of Software. But I talked to a few friends who have worked in Canada (under non-immigrant visa) & they tell me that the salary is not as good as what one could make in the US (which I can understand), but also they say that the actual salary earned is only 30% of what the company pays at best, and the remaining 70% goes off as taxes! Which is worse than that in the US.

Is that true? Do you really earn very little and pay lot of taxes, if you work in Canada as a non-immigrant?
