I'm working to teach English and Western Culture to Chinese students who want to go abroad.

One woman asked me what it was like for Chinese immigrants in Australia.

She teaches Chinese and wanted to know what the job prospects were for her, and if Australia would be a good place to raise her child (with the school system etc.).

I've researched online but was wondering if there's anyone who could offer an insiders perspective to what it's like. The pros and cons so I can help her become better informed.

P.S. I've also had some students ask about job prospects in the U.K. for Chinese immigrants interested in Economics and Business. So any opinions about that would be useful as well.

Bush says that he will let the Generals in the military decide how best to proceed in Iraq. Does that mean that he would prefer a military dicatorship in foriegn affairs? I thought the President was the Commander in cheif, and that the Generals are supposed to follow the course set by civilian leadership.
It looks like Bush is revealing the true nature of what's going on in the White House. He's depending on someone else to tell him what to do on every issue he's called on to decide.

I would have thought that a muslim would be happy to staying their own lands. After all, Islam, they say is a peaceful and perfect religion. So why do we see thousands of them want to populate Europe, America, Canada, Australia...and other western countries.... is there a reason for this ?

Ministers are secretly considering plans for an all-Muslim prison - to protect jailed Islamic terrorists, according to several news reports at the weekend.

There have been several attacks on Muslim terrorists in British prisons. In addition, Muslim prisoners are complaining that they are not allowed to meet with other Muslim prisoners and that their religious needs are being ignored. A Muslim-only prison means 'it would be eaier to cater for their religious needs in terms of diet and prayer' according to one source.

Any thoughts?

Do not buy into the lie that only 12 million illegals are in the United States; the math does not add up. The hispanic community has grown by 75 to 80%. This is not 12 million; we are not studpid! Our liberal government will not dare tell the truth behind the numbers.

Also, Do not buy into the lie that it is impossible to deport such a number. That's a blantant lie!! That is a strategy used by politicians, hispanic and self interest groups. If thousands are being deported on a daily basis, the number will dwindle in a few years.

We have millions of buses, planes, vans, cars, and utility vehicles that are goverment owned. They do not want to use them for transporting for political reasons.

The most important thing right now is for you to STOP quoting the lies you hear. Do not buy into the lies!

I liked this girl and she was in a long term abusive relationship. Well anyway her boyfriend of 5 years was on probation for domestic violence, and the other day he got arrested for d.w.i. Well the day he got arrested she found out that she was pregnant by him, and the officer had the car towed. Well now she might lose her job because she doesn't have a car to get to work and she cant pay her rent etc.
So I really like this girl and I know I will take her in if she was to lose her job and her place. So I was wondering if her boyfriend is looking at any jail time or anything. This is in TX and in TX the law isn't to relaxed on drinking and driving.

My mother did something that has now caused a civil lawsuit to be pursued and I'm supposed to be a defendant if I'm correct doesn't that mean they are trying to go after myself aswell? I have no money for a lawer neither does my mother will a lawer be appointed to either of us and if so when? I did not know of the crime being commited until she got the papers and told me and apparently myself along with other family members are now defendants any one have any idea as to if I will be given a lawyer? No one has been arrested just papers served any help?

I had a little to drink a few hrs prior to crash. The other driver was injured fatally. I was not arrested but the case is pending. Is there a site to go to to find out anything about the pending investigation? I live in Springfield Ohio..

I know the dog fighting occured on his property in Virginia. and I know its something really serious but so far all I've hearing is there is evidence and they have witnesses. Now heres what I see is wrong with this, they dont have any hard evidence other than he say she say that Vick was there. And if (not saying he was there) he was there and a witness seen him, could it be possible that they made a bet on a dog Vicks cousin had bet against and lost and want to get back at Vick instead or even worst if this person knows he was there shouldnt they face charges too for being at an illegal event such as that ? I dunno, im a huge vick fan and a pray he gets out of this, If he did it I dont think its right at all & He should do his time.Also the US has been trying to ban pit bulls from the US and put them down too so at the same time its hypocritical in this situation too.

Can someone talk me through this instead of saying Vick should die for it if you dont know for hes guilty or not?

I have a bunch of Maxim, Stuff, (never read) magazines, plus some Old Madd magazines that I would love to send to the Greatest People on the Planet!
Our Troops, the Soldiers that are fighting for Freedom and to make this world a better place not only for Americans but for Iraq and its People!
Is there any legit places that would bare the expence if I supplyed the goods? money is tight and I think its crazy to save these mags when they could be enjoyed by our Soldiers.

Is just sad how people, even famous people are just going down in a horrible way with drugs......the future should be something better if everywhere every bussiness every place from fast food place to restaurants to proffesional or even to own a place should start to require drug testing.........
I do belive this needs alot of improvement.

I am a student and I wish I could be able to at least know a place where no one does that.
I want to find a way where they could actually open their eyes and I could see better improvements on this & require drug testing for everything!
Hopefully the future is better without dealing with stupid drug addicts and hire people who are professional and smart and not doing nothing stupid...... like reading the news paper or magazines and drug addicts...even high schools! Is sad and I hope someone agrees and helps me to speak up on this........thanks!!!

What is proof?

It seems everyone thinks they have it, but do they?

Can they prove that Man landed on the moon? No, they say it was on TV, that's not proof; they don't even have the documents to prove it happened.

Can they prove that the world is flat? They have no proof. Just a Round map of the world. Maybe the map companies wanted to make more money by selling the more expensive Round Map.

How do people KNOW that the Government is not run by Freemasons, Mutant Lizards From Outer Space or even...CANADIANS!!!
