Should franchisors conduct background checks on prospective franchisees, and if so, would it have helped in this case? Discuss.

the left accuses bush of trying to scare people into thinking we need the patriot act, blah blah blah. but what about the left trying to scare america into thinking that america is a third world country with 50% unemployment and a billion % this and that. to them, america is sooo poor and we all need to pay 120% of our income to the government.

I'm currently a sophmore in college which up until now was planning on becoming a history teacher. All of a sudden the idea of becoming a cop stuck to me fast. I've always admired cops, whether big city cops or suburban, and want to know as much as I can about pursuing a career in the police force. What does it take to become a cop? Does it take special schooling? How is the salary? How are the hours? Do you regret becoming a cop, or is it even better than you imagined. Please, help me out with as much information as you can.

Hi, I'm about to go into my senior year of high school, and everyone in my class took the asvab test last year and I made an 86. I'm seriously thinking of joining either the Navy or the Airforce, but I think I might have flat feet. Does that mean that I can't join? I'm also about to get my blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. Would the recruiters take that into consideration? Any info would be greatly appreciated :) Have a great day!

He has no criminal record at all, and has been clean and sober for over 5 years.

In the past he abused cocaine and alcohol.

Can he still go into law enforcement?

The National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive, signed on May 9, 2007 declares that in the event of a “catastrophic event”, George W. Bush can become what is best described as "a dictator":

"The President shall lead the activities of the Federal Government for ensuring constitutional government."

This directive, completely unnoticed by the media, and given no scrutiny by Congress, literally gives the White House unprecedented dictatorial power over the government and the country, bypassing the US Congress and obliterating the separation of powers. The directive also placed the Secretary of Homeland Security in charge of domestic “security”.

Is this another step towards official martial law? (see “US government fans homeland security fears”), which suggests that a new "catastrophic event" 9/11-type pretext could be in the pipeline.

New presidential directive gives Bush dictatorial power

Look back in history; the greatest changes occured when laws were broken. Rosa Parks helped the civil rights greatly by breaking the law, not paying taxes help strike the revolutionary war, suppling booze during prohibition helped people realize the law is ineffective.

Honestly, isnt breaking a law a lot more effective than petitions and marches? Sure petitions are helpful, but they are very time consuming and easily ignored.

i happened to look online at my own criminal record and i know what i've been arrested for and i know what i've been convicted of. I was once arrested for drug paraphenilia for having a pot pipe in my pocket i pled guilty to one charge of drug parephenilia which is a misdermeter but now my record says i was convicted of selling drug paraphenelia to a minor which is a felony. so now i don't think i can vote. is this just a glitche in the computers or is it a way to disqualify liberal votes?

At this point, it would seem, anyone with an ounce of respect for the truth, need only look at the video evidence to know 9/11 was a self inflicted wound; a false flag operation designed to outrage the public and Congress into supporting "The War on Terror"; more like "The War for Oil".

So why does Hillary Clinton keep rallying for "The War on Terror", I mean it is obvious she is not stupid, so what gives?

When I was 18, I was stupid and let my best friend at the time create a cell phone bill under my name under the agreement that she would pay the bill monthly (I know, not the smartest thing to do), and she did for a while but then stopped and ended up having the phone turned off on her and stuck me with a $500 bill. She has said she would pay it time and time again, but we're no longer friends and I honestly don't think she will unless I bring her to small claims court. Is there any way that my case would stand up in court? Or am I pretty much screwed out of the $500.

I just came accross a news story where the California Supreme Court has decided to prohibit siezure of cars from people accused of participating in prostitution or drug trade.

According to this story, municipal authorities in California have been confiscating cars from people without even waiting for the trial. An accusation was good enough evidence, as far as they were concerned.

This sounds to me a lot like the lynchings that happened all over the US a couple of generations ago. Perhaps the outcome now is not as gruesome as it used to be. But punishing people without any trial still looks like lynching to me.

Perhaps this kind of thing is not allowed in California now. But I wonder if other US states have similar punishments without any trial for people who are accused of breaking the law?

why do leftists in america think hitler (or bush) was the worst mass murderer in modern history? hitler killed about 12 million, bush killed no one(the iraqis killed themselves with their suicide bombs and used the US invasion as an excuse to do it), staling killed around 60 million. and if we look at leftist politics in general, lets not forget other communist leaders in eastern europe and in east asia. yes liberals, give me some leftist website that somehow proves how hitler AND george bush both killed 7 billion people in some part of the world and that a right-wing conspiracy is covering it up. ya. george bush even destroyed the universe already. the right is covering it up.
