Where do I start!!!
This war is a big part of the problem. Bush is profitting imensly on his stocks in the US defense companies so it is in his best interest to keep it going.
Can you believe that we still have to use the word refugees for our own citizens due to hurricane Katrina?!?
We are #37 on the WHO's list for the world's best health care system. Right above Slovenia!
47 million are uninsured and are rarely patients - until it's too late. In the rest of the Western world, everyone and anyone can be a patient because everyone is covered. (And don't face exclusions for pre-existing conditions, co-pays, deductibles, and costly monthly premiums). France, Canada and the UK all have free health care.
Even CUBA!!!
The fact that the healthcare system in an impoverished nation crippled by our decades-old blockade (including medical supplies and drugs) ranks so closely to ours is ridiculous.
Although Cuba ranks lower overall than the United States, it still has a lower infant mortality rate and longer life span. Hmm, maybe because they're not fighting a multi-billion dollar war for oil.

The stock market is down an incredible 20% since Obama was elected. Yet in spite of the fact that nothing even close to this has happened in Bush's Presidency he still blames Bush. He needs to take the training wheels off and realize he's the President now. He is a know nothing politician that cheated his way into politics and stole his way into the Senate to begin with. He said no earmarks would be in his so called Stimulus Bill and there are around 9000 earmarks. He's like a little boy that found his Daddy's credit card and charged thousands of things not realizing that someone would have to pay for his spending.

Govern it. However, their method of governing has been slowly but surely destroying the US Constitution and replacing with Marxism. That is why big brother is currently becoming a nuisance, it takes many months to get an appointment in VA hospitals, and more then half the budget is spent on welfare and social security (entitlements) and only a tiny slice goes to federal government's primary responsibility: national defense and international relations.

My thoughts are we aren't over taxed, we're just spending all our money and resources wrongly. We need to pull our troops out of foreign countries that don't need our presence; we need to protect our borders from illegal migration; we need to spend more money on education, public transportation and universal healthcare and less money on military build up; we need to continue to create and utilize alternative fuel sources but in the meantime drill for oil in Alaska so we can lessen our involvement in the middle east; we need to release a good amount of the people who are in prison for non-violent drug-related crimes (intent to distribute should still be a crime); we need to legalize marijuana use and prostitution, taxing the hell out of both of them; and so on. The government's job is not to dictate to us how to live our lives, but is there to help keep us safe.
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness doesn't cover it. We need to add education and health to the list.

Yes, ineptness--by college educated people, mind you. Is running amok like retarded chimpanzees in our most hallowed halls of empowered elected office.
But a ray of hope exists that one day, we'll manage to hit lucky and elect a few movers and shakers.....maybe even a President.....with a working brain, focused on successfully fixing the mess we currently face now.

Of course. The govt needs to step up their game. Before we had a upper, middle and lower class. Now its either you are really rich, or really poor. We have now wiped out the middle class.
They would rather hire immigrants that help their own people. Its quite shameful.

Our government is our own. Always remember that fact. We are the people, and our government was instated of us, by us, and for us. If we're unhappy with it, it is our right to change it by whatever means necessary. If elections fail to suffice, then it is not only our right, but our responsibility to change our situation.
