I highly doubt it. He may be the republican front runner right now (if you don't count the "none of the above" option) but it won't last when this election really gets going, in about six months.
The man is an illusion and no one has challenged him on it yet, since it is so early. His only claim to fame is 9/11 but his supposed straight can be demolished when people start really looking at it.
Also, you have to look at the incumbent president. If you look back at presidential history, after eight years of one party controlling the executive branch, it almost always flips to the other party. That happens, even when the out going president is popular. Factor in Bush's unpopularity (which is the longest in presidential history) and it makes it unlikely that any republican will be elected as president in 2008. It doesn't really matter who the nominees are for either party, the dems are pretty much assured victory.
To answer you question again, no, he will not be our next president.

God, I hope he becomes the front runner for the republicans.
No one will vote for him.
He hasn't done a good job of convincing anyone lately. That is, except the people who have given him campaign donations. But donations and votes are two different things.
And he doesn't have the votes.
