Giuliani may have his faults, but nobody can deny that he is one tough dude. With the current war in Iraq not showing any progress, Is Giuliani the man we need to get it over with? Can Giuliani make America safe like he did New York?

Yes, I like him and think he would be a good choice. I especially liked how he threw the Saudi's check back in their face when they tried to give money after 911. I was proud of him - we did not need their stinking money. Also, as you mentioned, I liked the way he cleaned up crime in his city. Go Rudy!!! The libs probably don't like him for these reasons. Oh, yeah, I forgot - they have no reasoning ability.

Giuliani made New York safe? Tell that to the firemen who died on 9/11 because he didn't get them the equipment they needed. Tell that to the unarmed black men who got shot by the racists in his police department. And tell that to his second wife, who got ambushed with a divorce announcement during a press conference.

Tough dude? Adolph Giuliani has never been tested. Except when he took on John Gotti, and lost three times, and his successor as U.S. Attorney got him the next time.

Who is going to keep America safe from Giuliani?

Hillary Clinton, the next President of the United States. Unless the "morality" lunatics in Iowa and South Carolina knock Rudy out of the primaries first.

Giuliani has taken advantage of the deaths of Americans and foreign citizens since 9/11/2001.

I would like to see the money wasted in Iraq redirected toward a fully funded health care system. Rather than give more and more tax breaks to the rich, I'd redistribute money to assure that all americans are healthy and educated. That has a big positive impact on the well-being of America, including the very wealthy.

Because he is catering to the elite, I believe he would give us more of what GWB has already given us (the shaft).

Giuliani is a joke. His great claim to fame is that he was the Mayor of NYC when there was a terrorist attack. Oh, and he got porn shops out of Times Square.

Rudy Giuliani hates free speech. More than 35 successful lawsuits have been brought against Giuliani for violating the First Amendment rights of regular citizens.

Rudy Giuliani hates disabled people. When a disabled man with late-term Parkinson's disease called Giuliani's radio show to criticize him, Giuliani responded by mocking the man for being disabled.

Rudy Giuliani prefers to make himself rich rather than make Americans safe. He was appointed to the Iraq Study Group, headed up by James Baker (yes, THAT James Baker), which also included people like Edwin Meese, Sanda Day O'Connor, and Lawrence Eagleburger. He didn't attend a single meeting and said in his resignation letter that he had "previous commitments". These previous commitments were public speaking engagements that earned him over $11 million in a little over a year's time.

Rudy Giuliani is a friend of paedophiles. One of his closest friends is a defrocked priest who was kicked out of the Church when a grand jury accused him of molesting children and covering up the molestation activities of other priests. The paedophile is on Giuliani's payroll.

All he can say is that "if you elect John Edwards or Barack Obama, they will raise taxes." He claims that the healthcare insurance problem can be solved by letting people have an $11,000 tax deduction so they can buy their own health plans instead of getting it through work. That way, they can save money by "taking higher deductibles" and claims prices will go down just like they would in normal supply and demand markets.

Can anyone seriously vote for this guy? COME ON.

No, he doesn't, and he doesn't mind shoveling it out to others either. Being one tough dude isn't qualification for the White House. My husband is one tough dude too but he doesn't belong in the Oval Office. If the rest of the country resembled New York City, you might have a point, but it doesn't. No, I don't want a man who managed to alienate most of the First Responders from 9/11, or whose private life reads like a cheap novel, or a man whose ties to the Mob are there for anyone to see, or a man who thinks it's appropriate for his wife, an R.N., to sit in on any meeting that interests her, or a man who uses 9/11 for his own political purposes. We've had enough of that last one with Bush in the White House.

i like Giuliani if he runs and the democrats have not have been given all and sundry good i might desire to vote for him. the element is that he will in all hazard not get the nomination with the aid of actuality he's professional-determination and professional-gun administration which will set off off off somewhat badly with conservatives republicans. as properly, he's from long island which many conservatives think of of is the sought after gomorrah and he cheated on his significant different and function been given divorced. those might desire to impact his candidacy if he runs so i come across it confusing that the republicans might desire to nominated him.

Ed Koch and David Dinkins turned New York around. Giuliani was there to take the credit. Why do you think so many New Yorkers don't like him? He's a fraud. All he did was display crisis management on 9-11. He deserves credit for that, but that's all he's running on. Not enough to be President.

I have nothing against Giuliani and he very well might make a good President, but Bush has made such a mess of things that I don't think anyone in the GOP has a snowball's chance in H*** of winning the '08 election.

He's arrogant, authoritarian, and largely ignorant of the world, which doesn't stop him from 'knowing' exactly what should be done about it. Sounds a lot like the Prez we have now. If you like Bush, you'll love Giuliani.

It is common knowledge that people change in different ways once they get into office. Some presidents mature more, some get worse. My honest answer to your question is...we won't know how he does until he's in office. Just like with any other candidate, we can't truly tell if they are going to live up to their campaign promises until they are sitting in their White House chair calling the shots. Just my opinion. I am personally voting for Hillary, because I think she has the best experience and dedication. You are probably going to get a lot of bashers on here, so be careful. Make sure you research any political candidate before you vote for them. Ignorance is NOT bliss, especially if you are involved with our politics! (sorry to lecture, I'm a history teacher)

Good luck on your findings. Remember to find an unbiased answer on your political favorites, and see you at the polls!
