All these opinions about whether to leave or not to leave coming from the White House, the Senate, the Congress...and of course yahoo posters'.... Why isn't anyone listening to the Iraqi citizens ? 89% of Iraqi's want the US out yesterday !

So are we trying to convince them that they are still a sovereign nation with a stable government, while at the same time doing what WE THINK we should do, instead of what THEY WANT us to do... ???

Operation Iraqi freedom will never be a success until you let them decide as a FREE country whether or not they want us to leave.

Both.

In name, they are a sovereign nation.

However, the US ignores any directive from the Iraqi parliament that it doesn't like, and orders the removal of any Iraqi parliament member who challenges US presence. So, in reality, it's under US military control.

GOD BLESS AMERICA: are You actually Dr. Savage? if so, i'm honored to even be on the same comment thread with yous.... may God bless you and yours.....

there is NO sovereignty of nations....

Only God allows them to rule, so that there is not complete anarchy, and He expects His chosen ones to remain in subjection to these authorities, UNLESS they are requiring His people to do something which would go against Jesus' teachings such as;

fighting in the nation's wars, giving obeisance to some false god or to a human ruler as if he were a god...etc.

He requires the followers of His Son to pay back Caesars things to Caesar, but God's things to God...

The One and Only True God YHWH, Jehovah of armies, is the only Sovereign of the universe. Even His Son Jesus.... who has a position GIVEN TO him higher than anyone else, but NOT higher than The One who GAVE Jesus that position above every other name... yes even Jesus is subject to the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, the First and the Last, the Rock of Ages

There's nothing to do with, what Iraqis want!
It doesn't matter if %100 of Iraqis want US to leave!
It doesn't even matter if thousands more of Iraq's innocent people will parish!

All it matters from US's point of view is, their own agenda and How they could manage and control the OIL till its last drop!

I think you are wrong on all counts. Governments are not run by polls. I don't believe your 89% statistic. Right now the US is in Iraq at the request of the government of Iraq.

The country has a parliamentary form of government. They don't run a democracy. It is the same as the US. That is why we have elections...to pick people to run the government.

The process is working. If it is not fast enough for you, contact Al Maliki and tell him to get a move on.
