How incredibly laughable is it that they think the CLASSICAL Liberalism of the founders is just like their modern liberalism simply because it's the same word?

What is this high school?

The founders would ABHOR your socialist and collectivist solutions to everything, they would view all state solutions to problems as an ABSOLUTE DANGER to human liberty.

Since so many people have been so vocal about why they hate the President, I thought I would just offer the following. I like President Bush, even though I don’t always agree with his positions. Here’s why:

1. The man is guileless. Unlike many politicians who do their best to appeal to as
many people as possible (and thus, keep their “approval ratings” up), George
Bush says exactly what he believes. I don’t always agree with his positions or
actions, but I like the fact that I always know where he stands.

2. He is a lousy public speaker and has zero personal charisma. Why are these good characteristics for a president? Because the opposite is so dangerous. I am suspicious of politicians who are skilled at the art of rhetoric. Such people can make you feel good about almost anything (John Kerry is the ultimate example here). With George Bush, it is all about his ideas and actions… not how he packages them because, obviously, he isn’t very good at salesmanship.

New York has just been told we are not going to get any more money to help protect us from terrorist. Were the hell is our Senator Clinton? We are not as important to her as her run for the office of the president but you better believe she will be the first one crying that Bush and everyone but her should have done something if we are attached again. If she is not willing to do her job as senetor what can we expect from her (God forbid) she becomes president.

The Democratic party is the major hurdle to school vouchers. This would enable Americans to choose where they want to send their child, instead of being forced to send them to an under performing public school. They (dems) want to keep throwing money at the black hole of public education and are ok with you sending "your" child there but they won't send "their" kid there becuase they can afford private school.
Billl Clinton and Hilary went to private school, they sent Hilary to private school, Al Gore went to private school, he sent his kids to private school. Ted Kennendy went to private school, he sent his kids to private school.

Why not give Americans the same oppertunity via tax paid vouchers?

Note. It is indeed LIBERALITY, not LEGALITY.

"As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality."
- George Washington, March 1790

The notion that the jobs created under Bush "are all just blue collar jobs and McJobs" is just not true - you made that up rather than admit the job growth.

That's pathetic.

At a morning news conference where he released a mixed progress report on his troop buildup, Mr. Bush repeatedly invoked the threat of Al Qaeda as a reason to stick with his strategy, saying the group he referred to as Al Qaeda in Iraq “has sworn allegiance to Osama bin Laden.”

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/13/washington/13policy.html?_r=1&th&emc=th&oref=slogin

"Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia did not exist before the Sept. 11 attacks. The Sunni group thrived as a magnet for recruiting and a force for violence largely because of the American invasion of Iraq"

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/13/world/middleeast/13qaeda.html?th&emc=th

So let me get this straight - we know Al Qaeda didn't exist in Iraq before 9/11 (contrary to what Bush has claimed). Now because of the Iraq War, not only are they in Iraq, but have claimed allegiance to bin Laden, who Bush failed to catch because he sent the troops to Iraq? This is the justification for staying in Iraq?

Biggest irony ever?

I think the success of Barack's campaign speaks so highly of our growth as Americans. He's black, he was raised by a single mother, he has Muslim lineage, and most people are still focusing on his academic achievements and features as a candidate.

As a part African-American convert to Islam who was raised by a single mother i've often been discriminated against and felt bitter towards America.

However, seeing Barack's success makes me so proud.

Maybe all this time.... it has only been our government that was backwards..... b/ it seems our people are not as racist or closed-minded as we might think

Don't just show the growth under Reagan and Bush Jr. Compare the percent growth under them with other presidents.

Somebody told me to include Carter, so here we go:

HERE'S WHAT I DID:
I got the real GDP stats from the Bureau of Economic Analyses. I took the percent increase over 4 year intervals. I then ranked them from best to worst. Out of (((18))) 4 year intervals, the supply siders Reagan and Bush Jr ranked 8th, 12th, and 16th.
1 FDR (44') 74.69%
2 FDR (36') 34.62%
3 LBJ (68') 21.81%
4 TRUMAN (52') 21.00%
5 JFK (64') 19.86%
6 FDR (40') 19.32%
7 CLINTON (00') 17.87%
8 REAGAN (88') 15.98%
9 CARTER (80') 13.67%
10 CLINTON (96')13.53%
11 IKE(56') 13.45%
12 REAGAN (84') 12.63%
13 NIXON (72') 12.38%
14 IKE (60') 10.91%
15 FORD (76') 10.62%

My Answer - The US or any other country or even the United Nations cannot Save Africa. There`s only one way for Africa to fix itself, that is by uniting all the seperate countries in the conteinent to make "One Africa"
The problem with Africa resembles the problem China had long ago. The communist Leader "MAO" is the best thing to ever happen to China. Like Africa, China was once divided into many countries which had different Governements and Leaders. This caused great suffering, great war, and great poverty throughout China. MAO and his red army united China under one government. Do you see where China is at today in regards to being on the brink of becoming the next world superpower?
This is the only way Africa can ever be saved! They can Save the diplomatic reliefs, save the charity funds, Save the GD commericals its not going to work! There`s Only one way period! If we really want to help we should supply a charasmatic African leader with this goal in mind with weapons.

My husband was robbed at gun point at the drive through window of our bank. They took everything from us. It was caught on camera. The bank teller later said it look suspisious, but yet did nothing. We are thinking about going to the bank president and asking for reimbursment of our money since as a bank their job is to protect their customers' money, especially if it happened at thier establishment. The robbers were loitering around for some time looking for a victem as seen on camera, doesn't that account for anything?? What can we say to get our money back? Who should we go to? Or are we not to trust our well being at a bank? Please tell me your sources. Thank you

Overall, your quality of life goes down in the US.

Your health declines. It's proven that hispanics in the US are of poorer health than new arrivals.

Also, you work yourself to death. The average American works over 50 hours a week and gets a lousy amount of paid vacation days.

You spend less time with your family, more time in traffic, more time at work, and you eat much worse quality of food. You're much more likely to now be a victim of a crime, to be involved in legal troubles due to excessive laws, or to be diagnosed with cancer due to the poisonous lifestyle.

Your entire lifestyle changes for the worse.... all that just for a job? Is it worth it?

I don't care if they smoke, they want to ban smoking even in bars, even if the owner of the bar doesn't want too.

I don't want to force them to carry a gun, they want to force me to give mine up.

I don't care if they don't eat meat, they want to force us to be vegatarians.

I don't want to force them to hunt, they want to outlaw hunting.

I don't want to force them to give money they earned to lazy poor people, they want to take my money with the threat of imprisonment and give it to folks who didn't earn it.

I don't care if they pray in front of me, they want religion out of the public eye completely.

I don't want to force them to change their lives, they want to controll what kind of car i drive because some sorry bogus science says the sea will rise 100 feet in 200 years, it won't. I think this is a ploy to exert more controll over the masses.
