as an Englishman who is currently in the USA on business i feel i must ask this.
All American woman seem to throw themselves at me and claim that American men cannot satisfy their needs.
All American men want to be like me hard, good looking and i can drink 16 pints of Strongbow without spewing.( Most American men can just about handle a pint of shandy)
So if any English blokes want to have a good time and be worshipped-go to the USA.

Story link (liberal whining base)

Bush quote
"There's a lot of discussion about a scenario in which our troop posture would be to guard the territorial integrity of - of the country of Iraq, to embed and train, to help the Iraqi security forces deal with violent elements in their society, as well as keep enough Special Forces there to chase down al-Qaeda. As a matter of fact, that is something that I've spoken publicly about, so that's - that's the position I would like to see us in."
quote 2
The Democrats will say they forced him to do so, and will find new ways to keep the mess in Iraq front and center in the national debate - without necessarily pushing to bring all the troops home right away. If you're looking for someone who will lead a speedy withdrawal from Iraq, you'll have to go to the extreme left or right of the parties. Nobody in the mainstream is looking to get out soon.
Pure granstanding!.

I'm a Vietnam veteran who flew helicopters in the war. I would like to hear the opinions of our American youth on this subject. Would an equable draft, meaning if your number came up you served, be better for all concerned or would the All Volunteer arrangement we have now be best?

as an English businessman who has just flown back from the USA i feel i must ask this.
Most Americans who i encountered were so quiick witted and i often felt my sides splitting with their ability to use witty repartee.
One example was when i asked an American a simple question and he replied"F**k off Motherf**ker before i pop a cap in your a**e"
Now thats what i call humour.I think us Brits can learn a thing or two.

Harry Reid of Navada was elected to office in the senate by just one state, a state that ranks 35th in population, but now has it in his mind that his job is to save our country. In his zeal to seem important, he now wants to assume the roll of “commander in chief” and dictate to the military when, where, and how wars should be fought, overriding the authority granted by the constitution to the legitimate commander in chief, The President. Why should we wait until this quack is up for election to get him out of office and off the tax payers payroll?

India is getting economically stronger as per the sources said. But when u consider the neighbouring china, it's been faster than us. There u can see many multistoreyed buildings, bridges which is laying off each and every day. They having a very good metro rail system. But we are not upto the level also u couldn't find similar kind of development.
Even railways minister agreed, the fastest so called trains runs in japan like countries, cannot run here because of financial problem and improper rail track.. And also in India, corruption has routed well, where ever u see politicians get caught for corruption or Black money and many still get rid off that... So they want to enhance themselves not the country. But still India booming??!!!??

Ok I'm black, but I think I'd love Ireland! I really love the green landscape. I wonder if it's possible to become an Irish Citizen while keeping my American citizenship. I'm considering the possiblity of living in Ireland. I had heard that if one has an Irish background they can become a citizen. I don't know if I could prove it, but supposed there is some Irish in my family tree, probably from some slave owner raping a slave. But anyway. If anyone knows about citizenship, please answer

If we assume the following can phone polls be accurate?

1.a lot of poor people don't have phones
2.those that do have landlines and not cell phones
3. those that have landlines do not have caller ID as an added expense
4. if you do have caller ID a lot of people won't answer the phone when they see it is a telemarketer

Wouldn't that mean that a disproportionate number of poor people answer polls compared to moderate wealth and rich people.

Since poor people would like more help from the government, would they tend to be more democratic than republican?

Seems like every other day you hear about how the White House just flat out refuses to obey court orders, defies Congressional committees, blocks investigations, and uses secrecy and claims of executive privilege to keep information secret, even from other branches of the govt. Even if I supported Bush/Cheney, I'd find it hard to justify such arrogance and power-grabbing. After all, my loyalty is to my country and democratic process before any politician/person. The outlines of a near-dictatorship sem to be forming and it's scaring the crap out of me. Yet, the average person seems oblivious...

With almost half of the country for impeachment of Bush, they are trying their hardest to scare you, with their "gut feelings," and such.

It seems that a terrorist attack would be an answer to their prayers, doesn't it?

Over the last few weeks I my daughter has told me of the things her dad has said to her & done. It sounds to me like he is mentally & emotionally abusing her & I need to know how to prove this without her dad knowing & making her life even harder then he does now. He has told her that he is going to make sure they put me in jail for not paying weekly child support. Also he told her if she didn't stop intentionally spilling food in his house they were going to live in a box under a bridge cause she would never be allowed to live with me. He did spank her & leave bruises one day & when his family tried to get involved he threatened to get a gun & kill everyone so it wouldn't be a problem anymore. He tells her she is not allowed to call me when she is with him for any reason. She told me he has started drinking allot & that he hardly even sleeps. I also believe both he & his mother are doing drugs again. I know she won't talk to just anyone. If he found out he would make it worse
