I am a US citizen looking to immigrate to Canada to live with and eventually marry a Canadian. However, I would like to continue to work for my US-based company.

Is this legally possible? What kinds of paperwork/taxation would I be subject to? Would my company have Canadian tax liabilities as well?

My son has two daughters by two different women. They are only nine months apart in age. He chooses not to have contact with either daughter and signed away rights to his younger daughter because it freed him from his child support obligation. That child has since been adopted by he stepfather. The older daughter lives in a neighboring town with her mother who is still receiving child support, but my son has no visitation agreement and hasn't bothered to try to get one. He loves his daughters and regrets signing his rights away to his younger one and wants a relationship with both his daughters now. They are both 3 years old. I want to hire an attorney to help him get back into their lives. Should I expect a long fight in court? Neither mother wants their daughter to have anything to do with them. They both say that he had the chance and walked away when the girls were little and he can't float in and out of their lives. They need to realize that sometimes people make mistakes.

I'm looking for songs that get soldiers pumped. Like when they're all jogging together in squads.

Songs like, "I don't know what I've been told..."

Are there any others that are good, and that lots of people would know and what are their lyrics?

I am in a cadet corp, and i love it. It has made me want to join the military. I want to personally join Army. Honestly I dont mind being sent out to the middle east as long as i get the good training needed such as those of special forces so i can be better prepared or Ranger school training and whatnot. My family though doesn't want me in the army. They are always telling me to go navy. But i dont want to be on a boat. It sounds boring. I dont care if they go around the world. Idea of being on a boat makes me sick. I would want to be either an MP or go straight for airborne. But i am not sure. People are always telling me that i will die, but its getting so annoying to a point that i really dont care about being deployed anymore. But I am just worried that am I being selfish if i go active because it would affact my father and brother and stuff like that. and my other family members. I really want to be active soldier, if i told them this, they would just think Im insane though.

This post isn't for the conservatives. This is for the liberals who actually love this country. Judgements will be made for original thoughts and in the spirit of tolerance there shall be no bashing involved in this. This is straight up original stuff.

we should try to educate people that they actually existed, especially to the African-American community. people dont understand that the South (during the time of the civil war) was less racist than the north and the north used the excuse on slavery to boos the morale of their soldiers. both sides were racist, and i dont understand why the south takes all the blame for the racism.

My brother was arrested was timecard fraud in January 2007 being a supervisor of a big company. Saying that he allowed his workers to stay clocked in and get paid for it and what not. Anyway he's never had anything on his record in fact he was a cop. Well a reserve for 8 years. He spend 3 years in solitary confinement in Oregon because he was a cop and then they finally extradited him to Wisconsin where they were dismissing everything due to lack of evidence.
Well, he just gets this letter that says the case had not been concluded and they are now saying he defrauded the company more than $30,000 from the company credit card that was issued in his name for employee recognition, company dinners, supplies and things like that. He had permission to use the card and the receipts were signed off from the boss above him. Anyway, the crimes allegedy took place in Oregon; which is where the company is based. The corporate office is in Wisconsin, but my brother was never there. Help! Any info?

We've already known that the majority of the hijackers on 9/11 were from Saudi Arabia.. Now a new study shows that 45% of who we're fighting in Iraq are also from Saudi Arabia. How come there's so much talk about Iran, Syria, N. Korea.. But the Saudi's are never mentioned.. Isn't it obvious that their population is our biggest threat?

Coach Sharon Youngblood works as an athletic coach and recruiter for Florida State University. Athletic competitions and the recruitment of athletes require Sharon to do a great deal of traveling. The university reimburses Sharon for her travel expenses. Sharon joined a frequent-flyer program and has been receiving credit for her business travels as an athletic coach. Solely because of the mileage accumulated from her business travels, Sharon will soon be eligible for a free trip anywhere in the continental United States. She very much wants to travel to Seattle, Washington, over her Christmas vacation to visit her parents. Sharon is considering using her free ticket for this personal trip but is not sure whether it would be ethical to do so.

What do you think? Should Sharon use her frequent-flyer miles for the personal trip? Why or why not? If you were her employer, what would your position be?

According to a recent article in the Guardian (a Brit paper), Washington sources have indicated that Bush is once more siding with Cheney and the neocons, who want that war.

If you do not think Bush will pull the trigger, let us know why. If you think he will, why and when.

I'd guess he will, as the neocons still have great power and Bush may figure his "legacy" can't be any worse. And sometime in December or January, before the first presidential caucuses and primaries. In the first months of a new war the populace usually vigorously supports the war party. Good news for McCain, perhaps.

I had a trusted counselor that I was going to for mental health issues and to deal with what I was going through in my marriage. Well now I am going through a custody battle. My husband wanted mental health record. The courts ordered me to go sign a release of records. At a previous counselor I was called and made to sign by them. This counselor just released my records. Isn't that illegal? Wouldn't I have been in trouble if I didn't sign, but it was illegal for them to release. Anyone know?

We need someone here to keep us competative with China, India, and other places where the average wage equals a cup of coffee. By having more Guest Workers, we can lower expectations and increase likelyhood of companies deciding not to move to Mongolia but keep their factories open here.
