We need someone here to keep us competative with China, India, and other places where the average wage equals a cup of coffee. By having more Guest Workers, we can lower expectations and increase likelyhood of companies deciding not to move to Mongolia but keep their factories open here.

That is not to brainey. You will be lowing the wages in this country until we are like third world. So we are going to just keep companies in this country so guest workers from other countries (south America) can have jobs. You sir are off your rocker.

There is no such thing as an "illegal" worker, I think you mean undocumented. NOT the same, remember in our system of law only that which has been expressly prohibited by law is illegal, everything else is perfectly legal. No law forbids a person from working if that person failed to follow the proper procedure to gain employment he/she then becomes undocumented not illegal.

As far as making US business competitive, the answer is no because they still have to pay the same wages.

That is one way to attack the problem. Or you can just have our government stop giving tax breaks to large companies who out source their factor jobs to 3rd world countries. Maybe ever apply a larger tax to these companies. To indices them to keep their factories here in the states....

Wow....

You are suggesting having worker visas to have workers paid below minimum wage? The point of a worker visa is to protect the rights of the worker. It sounds like you want to give them less rights.

I know people get bent out of shape by 'offshoring' but the truth is, doing lower-value work overseas frees up Americans to do higher-value work, here. A large, cheap-labor underclass doesn't help an already-developed economy, all it does is retard it's further, post-industrial, progress.
