Should Mr. Azad have been made the president of India. Dont you think he would have contributed much more to the scientific community of India by continuing his role in DRDO ? As a president what did he do apart from attending functions. Dont you think that India wasted one of its best scientific minds in that post ?

I've been in the US as an LPR based on marriage for 4 years now, my husband and I are going on a vacation for 2 months, should I file the N-400 1 week before we left for vacation or wait till we comeback? I have no one to check the mail for me in case INS will send a letter for finger printing and all that and since no one really knows the time frame you might get a callback from them.

If immigrants didn't want a change for good, why would they come here in the first place? I don't think someone would risk his or her life to come and 'disturb' this side. People want a better life, why not give them the chance like our ancestors?

Should there be a minimal qualification set for entering into politics .. like a minimal educational level .. and more importantly no criminal cases pending or rejected for a person to contest the elections.

If the person entering the election is not even qualified to a minimal level of education and social awareness how can we as responsible citizens elect him to make rules to govern us.

My stepson has been arrested for 18.2-67.2 Object sexual penetration in Rocky Mount Virginia. He is charged with sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriends 3 year old daughter. He has been in jail for five days now without any bond hearing or anything. I believe he is innocent. Shouldn't he have been arraigned by now? His parents talked to an attorney yesterday and was told (without the attorney reviewing the eveidence or anything) that it didn't matter if he was innocent or not he would be spending at least five years in jail. The attorney also said that if he took the case he would definitly plea the case and accept guilt... He will take the case for a $20,000 retainer. Is this resonable? and do you have any advice for us? We desperatly want to help somehow. We honestly believe he is innocent and want to get him out of jail. We just don't know where to even begin to help.

I've heard from the longest time that the war in Iraq is for oil so many times my ears hurt and I've asked "how so" until my mouth is sore. So I'm trying to take an open-minded approach to the matter, where can I find legitmate analysis of war-profeteering, particularly oil. Backed by a reputable and fairly non-biased source?

My friends and I were planning our own dub of a japanese sentai series to air on a local cable access network, and we were wondering if, since we're not doing it for profit, we could air it without getting any legal backlash. I'm naive, right?

About three months ago i was injured (wrist)due to someone negligence but the doctors wanted to see if my injury would go away on its own. And put me in physical therapy as well because my hand was weak. they didnt want to resort to having to do surgery, but they have to do it now, because im in to much pain. The guy know it was clearly his fault and he wants to settle. But we have to wait until everything is out of the way including surgery. Now if his insurance policy dont cover the whole settlement. How will he come up with the rest will he sell some of his apartment buildings or will he take out a loan or something? Also if both sides agree including the insurance to the settlement how long would it take for me and my lawyer to receive the money?

The American system is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic. A democracy, if you attach meaning to terms, is a system of unlimited majority rule; the classic example is ancient Athens. And the symbol is the fate of Socrates, who was put to death legally, because the majority didn't like what he was saying, although he had initiated no force and had violated no one's rights.

Democracy, in short, is a form of collectivism, which denies individual rights: the majority can do whatever it wants with no restrictions. In principle, the democratic government is all powerful. Democracy is a totalitarian manifestation; it is not a form of freedom....

The American system is a constitutionally limited republic, restricted to the protection of individual rights. In such a system majority rule is applicable to lesser details, such as the selection of certain personnel. But the majority has no say over the basic principles governing the government.

can get it sold..my mom wants it left to my disabled brother and has a will but some brothers and brother in laws said my (wonderful disabled) brother docent deserve this nice house and we suspect he will try to fight it..he is quite smart..also a brother in law wants it sold. How can we keep only the actual children (and not inlaws) in family meetings and is there anyway this bad brother can get the house sold. He will be the executor if my good brother dies. Is there anything beside the will we need to keep my moms wishes or anyway those not reinspecting mom's decision can circumvent the will--she is currently alive but may die anyday..her prognosis time to live is nearing the end,

read these stories and find out what it was like for women pre-Roe.

http://www.amberdragonflypress.com/march...

here's a news flash, illegal or not, women will get abortions. outlawing abortion will not make abortion go away. What it will do is put women at risk of death due to illegal ones and the rich will simply leave the country to get it. If anti-abortion people were really interested in preventing abortion, they would make ALL birth control readily available and mandate sex education. What it really is about is power over women.

Is anyone old enough to remember when middle class/upper middle class neighborhoods didn't hire companies to do their lawn work? Bear with me, I promise this is related to politics. I remember when people did their own yard work, unless they were filthy rich, and the neighborhood kids earned extra money by cutting grass, etc. I was just reading a question about immigration that addressed picking lettuce for $1,000/week and it made me think of all the illegal immigrants that line up to work the jobs I've heard no natural American wants.

Who used to pick the lettuce before we had an immigration problem? Do you think that we just encourage illegal immigration by the simple things like being too lazy or too busy to do our own lawns and instead hire companies that we don't look at too closely or we might have to acknowledge the illegal immigrants getting off the truck?

Your thoughts please, thanks.
