the only thing that scares me about all the other canidates is i dont know if they are "real" atleast with McCain i have comfort in the fact that he is a person that will get things done....he is a former naval officer...and the armed service TEACHES YOU TO GET THINGS DONE

At this point I have no answer, there is not one single candidate that I believe has the answers that I want to hear. I have heard some good things from many candidates on both sides, but right now I am leaning towards Fred Thompson, but I want to hear more from him on Iraq, and oil consumption in America. To me those are the two biggest problems in this country that I want to hear about.

He is a good man and, I think, a true patriot. Only trouble is, he represents the wrong party. We've had enough of cons to last for a long time and we have a lot of work to do to clean up this administration's messes. Bush, Cheney, Rove and Ashcroft have done a lot of damage.

I'm not really sure yet who I will vote for....but I do know who I won't be voting for...Clinton, Edwards, or Obama. If you've read any of my previous replies to similar questions my reasons are fairly obvious.
I'm hoping Newt Gingrich will throw his hat into the ring. I served as a page for Speaker Gingrich the summer after I graduated high school and was on his campaign staff in '92. He is a true Conservative (in the Reagan sense), he's very intelligent, and he is plain spoken (he tells it like it is).

Time may prove me right . . . or wrong. My thinking is, there is only one candidate who has the necessary stature to bring this country back from the edge of disaster. I will be voting for Senator Joe Biden.

You guys should check out Ron Paul. He was in the airforce. He has an impressive record for voting against government "supersizing". It is time we voted for a leader who believes in the right for the citizen to choose how to live his life. The government has no right to decide how we should live our lives. Their only responsibility is Foreign Policy and Protecting our borders. Which recently they have done a horrible job. Look at the recent arms build up of weapons in Russia and their new missile system. It is at BBC.com. But anyway Ron Paul is our only hope to fixing some of the damage done to our civil liberties by Emperor Bush.

McCain fails in my book because of McCain/Feingold, his stance on immigration, and taxes.
Whoever the Republican nominee is will get my vote because they aren't Hillary or that weasel ambulance chaser. Obama is just too liberal. I hope Rudy wins but I would be happy with Fred Thompson.
