Actually I would say it is losing momentum. I base this on the fact that I hear much less about it now than I did 6 months ago. Liberals were convinced the new Democrat controlled Congress would go after Bush, but I think now it is apparent to most of them that it is just not going to happen. These last gasp calls for investigations and impeachments are like a balloon slowly deflating and all the air will be expended in January 09 when Bush finishes his term successfully. The simple fact is that there is just no readily recognizable evidence on which to base an impeachment and the belief that wrongdoing has occurred does not meet the standard required.
Now has Bush engaged in wrongdoing? Who really knows? Frankly I shudder to think of what we might learn about this administration once they are out of power, but that belief does not constitute any form of fact, it is just a suspicion. One thing I will say though. Republicans Presidents appear to be much better at protecting themselves than their Democrat counterparts in the modern age. If you need evidence of this review Iran/Contra and then contrast it with the whole Clinton affair. The first failed to touch Reagan/Bush, but the second forever tainted the legacy and reputation of Clinton.

America had a chance to throw Bush out of office in 2004, and decided NOT TO. Given that, and the fact that he'll be out of office by 2008 no matter what happens, any impeach Bush movement will fail.
The only people who scream "impeach Bush" are the nuts who think that the Jews were behind 9/11, like Honey Girl (see 'How many people will Bush & Cheney murder by this friday?')

Lets take a poll on each person in politics and see if they should be impeached instead of following the rules and law.
DIZZ Just what is the high crime he is quilty of?
Pissing of Reid and Pelosi isn't a crime.

EDIT; Oh and Stev above me saying it's a waste of taxpayer money! What about the 12 billion per month on the war started on cooked intelligence?

I think that you and everyone else pushing for this is wasting their time.. :)
Edit:
Really cute. So the guy has what? Less than a year and a half left and your brilliant idea is to tie everyone up with impeachment proceedings. I would think that you folks are brighter than that. :)

without a base in fact the point is moot. when you use the clinton benchmark for impeachment, its quite clear none exists and without a crime, an investigation is totally pointless.
- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
- First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court
