India is getting economically stronger as per the sources said. But when u consider the neighbouring china, it's been faster than us. There u can see many multistoreyed buildings, bridges which is laying off each and every day. They having a very good metro rail system. But we are not upto the level also u couldn't find similar kind of development.
Even railways minister agreed, the fastest so called trains runs in japan like countries, cannot run here because of financial problem and improper rail track.. And also in India, corruption has routed well, where ever u see politicians get caught for corruption or Black money and many still get rid off that... So they want to enhance themselves not the country. But still India booming??!!!??

The truth is ! Yes India has already become economically strong. World recognized that.

Look at our foreign reserve. In 1990 Manmohan had to lend our gold to get loan from world back for foreign reserve. India's forex reserves at $214.835 bn in July 2007. In the last 8 years it has grown from 5 billion to 200 billion.

US want to have a strong tie up with us. The nuclear deal is negotiated accepting all the terms and conditions of India.

Out of the certification done by Japan on manufacturing quality, 13 Indian companies listed among the top 100 against China with only 3.

Jobs are getting transferred to India not only because of low labor cost, because of the intellect of the Indian youths and their communication skills.

In India Govt.is run by big business. If India becomes
economically strong this means that the big business is getting strong ie they are getting more profit. There is no internal demand in India and as the big business is allowed
to sell their products outside India they make profit. To sell materials outside India they have to compete with other countries so they must get the help of brain worker to increase their efficiency and better marketing strategies.
So they had to pay the brain workers well.So the educated
middle class and other vested interests in the society are
singing that Indian economy is getting strong.I shall say
India economically strong if the following criterions are
fulfilled:
1]There should not be any environmental degradation. Most
of the people are not conscious about this. The cost of
environmental degradation is more than Rs 1000 billion.
[see world bank report on pakistan].This may offset our GDP
growth.
2]Mineral ores and allied materials cannot be sent outside the
country.Recently Mr Irani of Tata's have protested about this.
3] The increase of population must be stopped.India do not
have the resources to feed 1.1 billion of people.
4]26% of the population are below poverty level i.e less than 1 dollar a day.50% of the people are earning less than 2 dollars
a day.10 % people are unemployed,4% people are
destitutes. 40% people have no proper drinking water.
5% people had to go 2 miles to get their drinking water,
40% people have no health care facilities.
We are under the clutches of national and international
businessman aided and abetted by their respective
governments.I think the society will explode in another
30 years.

Well the condition is much better than the 1990s when we had to pledge our forex reserves. But i dont think we are upto the mark China is going on terrifically. The high speed rail connecting Shanghai inertnational airport.the airport itself.Compare that with our airports full of congestion. The six lane high ways even countries like Thailand are much better than ours they can build a fly over in record time we here think abt it do all planning and when wwe start building the traffic would be more than what two fly overs can handle. The thai roads are also terrific. So is the condition with Vietnam thay r also growing at 8-9% annually so if u ask me India is much worse sure we are growing at 9% but India is a large country. And the country is growing bcoz of talented ppl not the credit of any Govt.

What India is getting economically strong? No man India
is economically strong. When Indian Government went to
world bank for loan before 10 yrs the officials told to Indian
government if money from Swiss Bank will be withdrawn which
is in accounts of Indians then India can purchase Western
Countries. The incidence is proves that India is reach enough.

Now a days Indians are investing there money in market
so it seems that currently India getting economically strong.

In reply to mentag's post: What are you talking about - Indian Muslims being poor? The President of the country is Muslim, a good portion of the movie industry is Muslim, and there are quite a few Muslim artists and businessmen in the country. As for Babri Masjid - how many temples have the Muslims destroyed in Kashmir? THOUSANDS. And both Hindus and Muslims have been killed in the riots. I am not promoting these riots and senseless killings in the name of religion, but I am saying that it is not right to place blame on Hindus alone. Both sides have extremists. And the entire world knows just how many Muslim extremists there are. As for India waging four wars on Pakistan - where are you getting your facts from? All the wars were initiated by Pakistan. And even that was by secretly sending their army into India without any warning or provocation. They do not have the guts to openly declare war on India. India has not invaded/initiated a war on any country in the last 10,000 years! In reply to the question: I would support the country that did not initiate the war. And since that has been India all these years, I'm guessing that in the future too, I would be supporting India.

in a way it is booming ...but because of corruption its pulled down
even India can be ahead of china
but the population thr is more n over thr alot of ppl help each other n grow together and in India ppl want to bag everything for thmselves selfish like and corruption is the main cause ....
the good ppl r trying to take india ahead and the bad ones nothing notb bad not good ...
rather make things complicated for the ppl who are trying to make things good
but it will happen as the younger generation the one which is today is very very smart and they understand how bad is corruption and what they should be doing to have a better and safer life so in short india will be good n eco strong too but will take some time....

India is a country with 1500 million population. It is ever on the increase and soon we will touch # 1 country on population over riding China.
In Industrial growth as per graphs and figures by private and governmental statistics India is advancing with a low inflation rate and high GDP.We can be equating our performances with China and claim we would be better than USA by 2025.
Agreed. But in an agrarian country with 80% population depending on agriculture, what is our status:-
90 % of our country is in villages.-

1.There are many suicides in every village by agriculturists
due to poverty.
2.There are no infra structures in most part of the country- no roads, no schools, no hospitals, no shelter to most of the people.
3.There are high percentage of uneducated , both in urban and rural India. Among the educated most of them are unemployed or under employed.
4. Even today we buy food products, wheat, fron other countries.
5. Due to faulty pricing and subsidies in this sector, every agriculturist is becoming poorer every year and leaving the fields to seek any urban labour.
6.No major river is with out a water dispute due to our greedy politicians. As a result major rivers could not be connected.Flooding and famine in alternate seasons destroy
the nation.
7.Begging in every public place is common. At this rate the begger population in India may be of the order of 10 million.

Still ,if any one wants to be proud that India is rich ,let them be happy with their dream,pl. dont wake them up,lest they have to see reality.

its true. but not that much growth like china. it is also true that corruption is there. but even though india is economically getting stronger. now a days lot of investments are made for infrastructure building. even though infrastructure is not matching with the investments made for others. japan is a small country, which is made up of many islands. we should not campare with the other countries. each geographic area is unique. if india is get rid of corruption , we can better use the investment fund.
