To those people who say that 'Violence is not the answer'. I am not a violent person and I support Law and Order, to a point. BUT, look back in history. Sometimes it is the only answer. Only through violence and civil disorder major Social and Political changes were achieved. Are we there yet? I am not sure. But how much further will you be pushed?

I agree with you, but getting something done seems to be like hitting your head against a brick wall, people only seem interested in their own little world. Whats needed is a real political party that really does care about what the man on the street is going through, but somehow i cant see any party taken up that cause, so street riots could well be the answer. After the fuel protests a few years ago, the government was taken by surprise, and was running around like a chicken that lost its head, perhaps if the momentum could be found again then this time we should not give up so easily. Lets hope i haven't committed a violation yet again, by agreeing with you and riots.

I fully understand were your coming from mate , but i think a riot although it would be fun would be counter productive . It is however time for every hard working tax paying national to stand up and take action , as this government is taking its subjects for a ride ( shafting them from behind ) . I think a nationwide strike ( no work , no driving , no travelling by train , etc ) if everyone in this country did this the politicians would have no option but to take notice . I'm sick of being nothing but a revenue generator for a government i didn't even vote for . the simple fact is that the government is in place to look after the interests of its people , I'm saddened to say this just isn't the fkn case , you know what after typing all this the idea of a mass riot is sounding more and more appealing!!

But isnt that the reason people are turning in desperation to the BNP.They need our money to fight the illegal war in Iraq and Afganistan. The true reason why we have Terrorists we manufactured them.We were never bothered before then Blair came along. Not only are they effective they cause massive disruption fo all at a great cost. Not into the Riots but they are testing the patience of Law abidibg people.

The tube is overpriced. Other European cities subsidise their public transport heavily, but this was deemed illegal when a 'Fare's Fair' policy was introduced by ... Ken Livingstone. So fare's expensive.
The congestion charge is an attempt to reduce the traffic in central London, but I'm not sure how much it achieves. Perhaps more subsidy on public transport (enough to halve the fares?) and a massive hike in the congestion charge might have a real effect.
Tax is a way of life - it's the price you pay for public services. Health, defence, education aren't cheap.
If tax on plastic bags offends you, don't pay it. Take an old one with you. Or is that too much effort?
What's up with PCSOs and a ban on public alcohol drinking? You're not one of these types who likes to sit in the High Street drinking export strength lager and causing trouble, are you? And I like coming home from the pub and not stinking of your ciggies.
You're right though. This country isn't for you. No shame in admitting that. Why not pack your bags and see if any other country could use your skills?

Maybe riot is one step too far, probably we need some sort of mass protest to show our no confidence. The longer the situation goes on the harder it will be to do anything about it as they take away our rights bit by bit. The whole country should boycott and take to the streets in protest.
Trouble is take this government away andreplace with who? The shadow cabinet should have been more on the case than they have been.We have been betrayed by more than one party!

Even though I'm not a Brit, I totally agree with you. After keeping up with the news, I cannot believe your new PM! Blair was right about it becoming a "nanny state" (now with the impending fat tax). Being politically correct in a time like this (2 consecutive UK attacks), and not calling out terrorism for what it is is SO dangerous! And unfortunately I see this all happening here in the states.
I know that this is off topic....but I see an uncanny resemblance to the current events and the movie "V for Vendetta" and comic. Love that movie!!! Remember, remember, the 5th of November!

in case you do away with the Smoking Ban out of your checklist - as a results of fact i think of it truly is a huge theory - then i'm going to connect your rebel at something. i think of you have a component even nevertheless it truly is made tongue in cheek. The French public have a background of civil disturbances each and every time there's a clean regulation or tax being presented with which they disagree. mostly they get the government to alter their suggestions. It became the phobia of the form of unrest which stored them out of Iraq. Vive l. a. France.....

Enoch Powell was correct in his statements about British abuse by foreigners, they thought he was a trouble maker and sent him Ireland as a punishment. However his warnings have become very close to home, and still no one wants to accept the inevitable. If riots did occur on a grand scale, we all know which race would be shot first, and it wouldn't be the traitors amongst us would it?.

As it is within the United States, people find it far easier to criticize than to present solutions. What purpose would a riot serve, other than to endanger people and property? It is far better to work within the system to make changes. In general, being a politician in, or a leader of, any country is an endless, thankless job. There is an old saying, "You can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time."
