much like people are under the illusion that Saddam would not allow inspectors into the country I am sure it will be said that Iran would not allow inspectors in as well.

I've been really considering joining the Airforce for a very long time.(SERE program) to be exact. But i've been really thinking about the Marine Corps lately. Everyone i talk to is telling my to join the airforce, even my brother who is a Marine. He says he wouldnt change being one ever, but he doesnt want me to join because of the war. I understand that if i join the Marines that i "Will" go to Iraq. Its that I'm scared of dieing, because i'm not, its just leaving my family and friends behind if i die, is what bothers me. Even knowing this, still, everytime i think about the Marines i think about, Honor,Pride, and being able to belong to such a great thing as the Marine Corps, Sure the comercials are to make you want to join, but everytime i see anything that has to do with the Marines, I get a feeling deep inside, its really weird. Almost like something is telling me to join, I just think about how good it would feel knowing that I'm a Marine. Please leave comments..Thanks, Matt

Can cops still find you on NCIC, the CSI picture registry, or their own department photos if you have never been booked?

We have someone I work with who is always arguing about Bush is the worst President ever and someone else always talks about being Christian and everyone should be...
Which is worse? I mean I have BOTH extremes here! Religious fanatical right and ignorant extremist leftist liberalism. Which is worse in your opinion? I don't want to hear anyone's opinion at work unless I ASK for it! What about you?

No WAY is Iran any kind of threat to the US, this is so like the run-up to the Iraq invasion, too similar lies being told. Nothing seems to have been learned from the death, destruction and misery caused there.

The only positive thing to me is there'll be no UK assistance this time, Brown ain't a warmonger like Blair was.

Republicans have A LOT of issues, but Democrats who claim to be 'for the people' are corrupt too.

Many times an issue gets clouded and argued based upon other initial beliefs . Government supplied Healthcare is a good example . When people debate that issue , they're approaching it with different mind-sets to start with . Some will argue that our healthcare system is terrible , because it's not perfect nor all inclusive on every need . Others will argue that it's just fine(maybe some improvements) and it's the ultimate responsibility of the individual to get healthcare insurance .
They don't view it as a 'Right' in the first place .

Do You Believe Government Funded Healthcare Is A 'Right' ? Or Not ? Either Way , Please Include Logical Arguments To Back-Up Your Position .
Thank you .

Just look at all the sane, thoughtful decisions he's made! Just look at the way he embraces peace and doesn't try to glamourize war! And lying? Why, what could religion possibly have to do with lying?
Gee, I sure hope we let the South dictate the election again because America sure does thrive under religious leadership.

carbon fuels are causing global warming, why don't you just quit using so much oil rather than complain about it?
Ride a bike. Buy a high mileage car. Put solar panels on your roof. Do something other than expect the government to wave its magic wand.
Consumer habits create the demand. Consumer usage fools the air.

We've been there for more than four years, 3,600 troops dead, 28,000 wounded. Spending 12 billion taxpayer dollars per month in Iraq, approaching half a trillion total. Half a TRILLION! Meanwhile, al queda is at 9/11 strength. WTF exactly has half a trillion dollars boughtus?

I've heard John Edwards "two Americas" speech several times, and all the democrats I've seen want to raise taxes to pre 2001 levels.

Most if not all of these people are in the top 1% themselves or at least have substantial wealth. Since these candidates talk about making the "wealthy" pay their fair share, do they already pay what they consider to be a fair share?

If so how much more than required do they pay? The tax rates are only a minimum, so is the extra they pay in taxes the same as they'd like everyone they consider wealthy to pay?

If not, why don't they? They call the current rates unfair, so why would they pay them? Do they use tax planning and things like trusts and other strategies to reduce their taxes? Shouldn't they already pay what they want to pay in the future if they had their say?

I am going to give him the benefit of a doubt and assume that being that he came from a middle class family to become filthy rich, he had to work hard for it and nothing was handed to him.

So why doesn't he champion that same method for the poor people of today?

Hand-outs aren't the answer.

Thats right. I paid my insurance payments for over 25 years and almost never used it. I am healthy and my kids were always healthy but now I'm getting older and I think I could really use that money I gave to insurance. It's roughly about 35,000 dollars that I threw away because NAFTA took my job too. Would you be mad?
