Thats right. I paid my insurance payments for over 25 years and almost never used it. I am healthy and my kids were always healthy but now I'm getting older and I think I could really use that money I gave to insurance. It's roughly about 35,000 dollars that I threw away because NAFTA took my job too. Would you be mad?

In the future, don't pay for them.....when you get sick, go the hospital and "forget your wallet" no id or ins, no problem, go on the "mucho gracias, senor plan" and the back up plan of "malpractice pays well"

I think that, it you had ever had a major medical event, what you paid in insurance would not have covered what the insurance company paid in medical bills. That is what insurance is. If you signed the premium contract, you agreed to pay them.

You are blessed with good health. Be thankful for it. Use your anger about something positive.

Last time I checked insurance wasn't an investment that yielded a return. I'm insurance poor just like most of us who have it.

To need it and not have it = bad thing
To have it and not need it = good thing

Sorry about your job, but sometimes change affect people. Maybe you should read "Who Moved My Cheese". It may help with your anger over the situation

Yes I would be mad but you cannot sure an insurance company because you did not use it. You signed the contract and agreed to the program, knowing that you would pay whether you used it or not.

You can be mad all you want, but you certainly can't sue anybody for it back. You rightfully knew what you were doing when you began, and you also knew that any unsused insurance would not be refunded. Nice try though.

I wish you luck with that, my friend... You do have the right to be mad, but use your anger for the good and vote at the next election for someone who will address the problems with the health care system in this country.
