Wouldn't it make more sense and be fair if the American people didn't pay any taxes and only corporations paid taxes? Americans would then have the extra money that would have went towards taxes, to spend at Wally World or other places. With the taxtion of only corporations then product prices would increase, but with the extra amount of money American citizens have from no taxes to pay, the product prices would be the equivlent to what we pay now. The difference between our current taxtion and only taxing corporations is that Americans would actually be able to choose where their taxes are spent. Whether it be bread, cereal, etc.. Also, it would prevent potentially exploitable tax cuts that corporations get. Ultimately it prevents corporations exploiting loop holes in the system.

How is this bad from the current way we pay taxes? What are other benefits from this way of taxtion instead of our current way we pay taxes.

I fully understand that they are excellent soldiers and hard workers, but what is their role- do they do anything different to a normal infantry unit? How would a British Officer's job with them differ from the same job with an ordinary British regiment?

Excuse my ignorance but I just want to know as I have seen a few questions relating to them lately.

They just happen to believe that the "official" conspiracy theory that they accept is the correct one. Otherwise, they're no different from any other 911 conspiracy theorist.

Why? Because nobody was inside the WTC towers on that day to observe exactly how the towers collapsed. All the official explanation believers have is a THEORY AS TO HOW THE STEEL TRUSSES FAILED and the buildings "pancaked".

So don't kid yourself folks. If you believe the official explanation for 911, you're a conspiracy theorist just like the people at whom you scoff.

So how come, I recall years ago when I went to Ireland (southern) I didn't need a passport which seemed strange as its a different country. It can't be an EU member state thing as you still need a passport to go to other European countries.

Knowing that everyone is taking sides on the immigration issue and our government is in a stale mate, what makes them think that it is ok to bring in Iraq rufugees to the US? We are at war aren't we? Does this sounda little like "Letting the wolves tend the sheep? What is your opinion? I do feel sorry for the refugees, but who wants to feed them with hand they bit?!

I recently watched a movie called freedom to facism, this movie claims that "legally" we do not have to pay taxes. I know about the 16th amendment but that does not apply to people earning a regular wage. What do you guys think? I would like to know where it specifically states we have to pay income taxes.

Why is it that people must resort to petty insults and ridiculous claims in order to attempt to prove their point? I am tired of trying to engage in an intelligent political discussion only to find a conservative calling a liberal a terrorist. Liberals say that if we support the troops then we should enlist. ok.

so if Liberals support GAY marriage, should they marry a GAY people?

This individual is threatening me and my family, saying that we're all going to die or pay for what we did. He could say anything, and the problem is that we don't trust him at all. If we file a restraining order against him, everything might get worse. I want to go to the police department and let them know about this whole situation,, but I don't even know if they will be able to help. I don't know what I should do, I am very scared..

With the prisons overcrowding do you think that criminals should be given the option of joining the forces instead of going to prison?
A person who could be sent to prison for 5 years could be given the option of 2 years in the army. With pay and discipline they may come out more responsible, and there is always the option for them to sign on for longer.
I know it's putting the onus on the forces but I'm sure they have dealt with worse over the years.
I wouldn't extend this to serious crime like murder or paedos etc

Do not give me the BS of I do not support our troops considering I did my time USMC 2001 to 2006. I do not support the invasion into Iraq because last time I checked they did not have anything to do with 9/11. I do support the war I fought in in Afghanistan. I love this country, but I do not support some of its policies.

I have applied for jobs with companies such as at&t and apple stores and have been turned down because of a felony i got in 2002. They offer me the position and then tell me that the backround check might not go thru proccessing because of my felony. i feal that is discriminating towards me because i am i hard worker and very good at what i do my record in 2002 should not be affecting in getting a good job. would i be able to get an attorney to fight for my rights and if so where can i find one?
