Iraq had no military after the 1991 war.

Would have been a short battle.

I doubt they would have fallen for that. Iraq didn't want a re-match with Iran's huge army, and Iran didn't want to have to mount human wave charges against an enemy armed with poison gas again.

One could even speculate that Sadam's less than forthcoming attitude towards UN inspectors was, in part, to convince Iran that Iraq still had unconventional weapons with which to defend itself...

Oh my gosh, where have you been, we already did that.
How do you think that war started. Look it up.
Why do you think we are hated in the Middle eastern countries. We instigate so many problems in areas we have no business. We have a government that doesn't understand the people or culture, they can't perfect things within our own country and they stick their nose in to benefit their own pockets. Why don't we worry about our own for once.
If it is truly helping other countries great, but there is always motives we don't understand but end up living with. People in other countries don't know how we feel they think the way our government is represents how we feel.

Yeah, the US actually spent a lot of time doing that.

They installed the shah in iran because he was against iraq, then he went nuts on them.

Then they backed saddam against iran.

In fact, half the problems in the middle east are due to years of US involvement and bad foreign policy.

They already did that - and we supported and armed Iraq and Saddam. We gave Saddam chemical weapons and taught him how to use them. We also used our satellite technology to pinpoint Iranian positions and gave Saddam the coordinates so they could blast 'em. They were successful.....

Of course, the Russians were arming the Iranians..... It got nasty...Iran was in rubble because the weapons we gave to Saddam were more powerful...and we showed him how to use them.

Sick, isn't it?

Google "Iran Iraq War" and read all about it.

You might want to check your history book. Been there, done that. In the 80s I believe. We funded Iraq at the time. Some of those guns that are now pointed at us, well, we gave them back then.

We already did, in the '80s. Alot of good that did us and them.

Hows this for a radical idea; How about we stop f*cking around in other peoples countries? How the hell would we like if other countries did to us what we've done to them?
