Recently, I saw a sign in front of a church that said "Vote your faith, not your pocketbook". Are they admitting it is in their best economic interests to vote for Democrats?

No. It is something to put on the sign. We do not get our political beliefs from the slogans churches post on their marquees.

You're right, that's a flawed message. However, during Clintons term he carried vast support due to the economy. The question is: Was it his success? Is the current economy Bush's success? Do you answer the same for both?

Not all Christians are conservatives.

It was in the interest of the economy to vote out Republicans, the problem is the alternative was worse.

I believe they are referring to an open pocketbook, which is what you get with the Democratic party and their push for higher taxes. Why, with folks paying higher takes, the church collection plate will be not as full. Plan on opening your pocketbook

The economy is booming. It is much better than the Clinton years.

The church was merely preaching against materialism.

Perhaps instead playing that never ending game of gotcha, leftists should actually come up with an idea that actually benefits mankind.

The economy is doing great. I am sure the left wont stand for that. Not enough soup lines to score free votes.

Maybe the sign was directed at poor welfare recipients. I don't know, but the economy is great. We even got a refund of some of our unemployment tax.
