Is it just me or does that not make sense. Do they even really care about the troops or do they just say that because of their hatred for Bush?

My dad is in the final stages of brain cancer. My hubby is worried that my mom, who's a b1+¢h, will try to contest the will and make a claim on the insurance. I want to make sure my step-mom(whom I love) will not have to fret about her. The two of them have been married for 21 years. There's a lot of insurance money involved, and my step-mom deserves every dime of that money.

Any ideas???

There is a constant discussion on this board about doing something to help the poor and homeless in America. They talk about the growing number of poor people.
This has me baffled. I am not a spring chicken. I know lots of people and come in contact with lots of people. I travel all over America on the highways for my job. I am at a loss as to where all these growing numbers of poor people are.
I am pretty much a working man from a family of working people. Yet, I don't know nor know of a single poor person. I know lots of people who are tightening their belts but no poor people.
My only conclusion is that there must be two Americas.
Do those people who keep referring the growing number of poor people actually see this growing hoard? Or are they just repeating political rhetoric?

He's back on bourbon. She has had it. Laura has fled the White House and is living at the Hay-Adams Hotel. She's moved in because she couldn't stand his drinking. He's back on the 80 Proof. The 29 year BUSH marriage had collapsed into bitterness as the first couple headed for divorce. Was confirmed by a former White House staff member who is still close to Mrs. BUSH. Its not the first time she has fled the White House. Despite the Presidents drinking and her suspicions that he was cheating on her with Secretary of State Rice. This has been reported in the May 14 issue of the GLOBE 2007...

I don't really understand why if we had a civel war in America and it turned to be souch a great country that other places don't get the same opportunity. Is it really a bout the people or is it about their resources. It's really a 2 question, question because I don't see the interest in the democratic process in other places, for example, Africa.

Wondering about what people think of what happened in florida about inmates being forced to lick toilets and eat their food from the floor.

I think it's great that it's being investigated and a bit surprised. It's too easy for guards to get away with this type of thing when people who think that people in jail should be treated like animals.

When I've been in jail I've seen some guards having a go but not like this. Hope the inmates get some sort of compensation for this as it is just abuse.

Several years ago, Texas Bush likened the capture of binLaden to the old cowboy claims of "dead or alive"...It was one of the first promises he made after September 11.
So.
binLaden is likely alive - somewhere.
Isn't he important anymore?
He masterminded September 11 didn't he?
..or did he?..

There are, of course, hundreds of quotations in which George uses terrible grammar, but I'm always willing to forgive someone for one-time mistakes. I'm sure if someone looked at every word that came out of my mouth, you could write a book humiliating me. What bothers me, though is his repeated mispronounciation of the word "nuclear." Hasn't somebody told him by now that it's not nucular, it's nuclear, as in the nucleus of an atom? Perhaps he's trying to identify with his voter base in Texas... If you think I'm being excessively picky, this is really about more than a word, it's about his general education and intelligence

I like how in more totalitarian societies, people must support their leader and they work more for their money. If you try to embarrass your country by protesting your leader, you are run over by tanks and fired on by the military. They have TRUE rule of law. Bush should kill every protester that dares to embarrass the US in the streets of Washington. If he killed all of the protestors, the US will look more dominant and powerful. The US should become a totalitarian state, to shut up Liberals and communists everywhere.

Some of this footage in Iraq surprised me. I wouldn't expect a normal Molotov cocktail to be able to do this, let me know what you think. Is this just gasoline and oil, or did they add something else? If they did add something, what do you think they are using?
