What about Rep William Jefferson, Dem from New Orleans, caught with $90,000 in his freezer when he had rescue workers take him back to his home to get the money while others were trying to get out of New Orleans.

Pres. Clinton was not impeached for having sex with his page, he was impeached for lying to the grand jury, and was not convicted by the Senate. And by the way, if Pres Bush "lied", it was the best orchastrated lie in history, because Pres. Clinton, French intel, British intel, Russian intel, Israeli intel, German intel all said the same thing.

And let's not forget Scooter Libby who was convicted of obstruction and lying to grand jury because he said he couldn't remember, and Richard Armatage (holdover from Clinton's State Dept) who actually leaked Valerie Plame's name wasn't even charged. Nor was Ms. Plame charged with anything when her stories that she told the House intel committee and the Senate intel committee didn't match, and e-mails have been found of her actually recommending her husband to go to Niger

Don't get me wrong, if anyone does a crime they should be punished, no matter what party they belong to, I just see it as a double standard.

Hmmm...and yet a Democratic president was impeached for having sex with his page, but a Republican president is still in office after lying to his constituents and starting an illegal war.

Somehow I don't see any of this as okay.

That argument has been going on for a long, long time! Every person can commit a crime, but money determines who is actually caught and punished. Our criminal justice system stinks to high heaven and we have crooks elected to public office that determine what happens in our everyday lives. The only way to fix a broken system is to vote out the rascals and do actual research on the candidates before you mark your ballot!

Doubt that both cases are comparable. Might want to check your facts again. Its too simplified. Republicans get away with more blunders and crimes than Democrats anyway. Like the current Administration.
