According to the NIST (the government agency officially investigating the technical causes of the WTC tower collapses) 700 C is the threshold temperature at which steel weakens considerably.

And the official explanation maintains that the fires in the towers were hot enough to weaken the steel framing significantly enough that the trusses collapsed.

Yet testing of 167 of the 170 WTC perimeter panels after the collapses showed that they were exposed to temperatures no greater than 250 C.

In fact, NIST determined that there was NO EVIDENCE THAT ANY OF THE SAMPLES HAD REACHED TEMPERATURES ABOVE 600 C! NONE OF THE PANELS TESTED ABOVE THAT!

If the fire was indeed hot enough (at least around 700C) to weaken the steel, why did the panels only show exposure to temp at least 400 degrees C cooler than that?

911 apologist experts, how do you explain that?

This really pissed me off! My boss had a subordinate ask him if he could learn some things about big budgets by helping him.The boss granted him usage of the budget past and present and had him develop the budget for heating and cooling needs for the year. The subordinate went and accessed everyones pay rate, cause none of us talk about that stuff,it is personal.plus our pay rates are all over the place, some have been there thirty plus years and some new arrivals at only 1 year. Now the guy goes around laughing, taunting and bragging that he makes more than them.My question is ,Is this illegal or just unethical,I can't believe I find it hard to believe that this behavior would even be acceptable.I would really appreciate some input on this sensitive issue.

And do you support someones decision for being over in Iraq fighting. NOT DO YOU SUPPORT THE WAR! do you support our soldiers choice of going over there and fighting? And if you do but you are against the war, do you want to bring them home for your own personal reasons, or do you want to bring them home to "save their lives" ? What's your deep true reasons for wanting to go against what our Men and Women serving in the Military want?

I hear a lot of Liberals / Democrats say that those who support the war should enlist and go fight. But I also hear the same people say they want to bring our soldiers home and end the war. WE all want our soldiers home safely, but do you REALLY want to take them from what they feel is right in their hearts? I asked a questioner this and would like to hear all Liberal or Democrat responses

What is your true passion and do you participate or practice what you love the most?

Out on the stump or in debate, the Presidential candidates do and say whatever is self serving. Why not require them to silmultaneously take an essay quiz, together in a room, with no one but a proctor present? Kind of like college essay exams. Quiz areas could include subjects such as the war, the economy, welfare, taxes, abortin, etc. Essay questions would be asked in each subject area. The questions would be secret until the exam. The exam would be run by the League of Women Voters. The same league would compose the essay questions. The questions and answers would be made public immediately after the exam but would not be "officially" graded.
Wouldn't this give us a better idea of what each candidate really stands for without being assisted by his or her "handlers"?

How many more of our soldiers will have to die before he gets it through his head that we cannot win this war with our military?
Our soldiers are doing the best they can, but this I believe is a war of wits, and not on the battle field. What do you think the next step will be?

Obviously, if there is suspected criminal activity, we have the right to know that. But was there any need for the American public to know, for instance, that JFK was unfaithful to his wife? That Newt Gingrich was unfaithful to his and left her while she was dying of cancer?

Is this information pertinent?

You can claim it speaks to their character, but someone's relationship with his or her spouse is very personal and very individual. For all we know, Jackie O had numerous affairs. For all we know, Gingrich's wife had seventeen abortions without telling him and then he found out. I'm not saying that's true... but we don't know what precipitated these actions.

Is it too much? Have we overstepped the bounds of what it is within our right to know about our politicians?

deport the legal citizens who were born into their citizenship but not only do they not appreciate the freedoms that they have here, but also do nothing but sit around and complain about how they hate everything about this country? They didn't have to do squat except to be born to get their legal status, so why don't we just deport the worthless scumbags to Mexico so that they really have something to complain about? Plus, that will make room for more immigrants who appreciate what we have here to come.

When I first started my job I was a real nice, easy going guy, now I'm just a mean man with no soul. They put you through all kinds of garbage and expect you to read their minds and do what they are thinking, any way I've had enough and wonder if there is anyway I could get paid back for all the years of their nonsense. I'm so stressed out it isn't funny
