I asked a serious political question
I got two joke answers and
another one said I was criticizing.
My question was never answered.
I think some questions can only be answered with humor, and others have no answer.
It bugged me to not get an answer
but generally I like the funny answers on YA
There are some genuinely funny people in the world

I personally can appreciate a sense of humor. I do not know which side I am on??? I am on the side of the people, which people I haven't decided yet. Democrats and Republican are not so different anymore. I am gathering as much info as I can so I can decide which candidate would be best for our country. Yes is the answer to the second question, and yes and no are the answers to the first. Peace to you.

I use humorous sarcasm quite frequently, usually to answer a question that is ridiculous. I am sincere in my answer when I feel it is a valid, well thought out question, so I guess I use sarcasm about 90% of the time. I think it is fine to do so.

No. Humor is not acceptable. In answering a political question it is imperative to say mean and hateful things. By doing so supporters of the party you don't like will change and become a member of the party you like. Of course, the next thing you know, you're having to change to something else because someone called your new party a worse name and now you have to change to their party. ...and I can tell you, I'm about partied out!

Sorry to say, the answer depends upon the situation and the individual. For some people, anger will be the response to humor. You need to try to guage the situation, but generally, humor will "lighten up" the situation.

I think there should be humor in all situations. People need to lighten up a bit. You can mix humor with serious answers at times.

Whatever makes you feel good, is what I suggest. I've found out there are people on here that's going to get offended no matter what you say. Personally I enjoy the humor, even when it's directed at me.

Though i like funny answers but sometimes it piches when someone makes fun of some deaths around..and about rest so its okay to make fun of Politics itself....its just lightenup the severity of the question sometimes !!

I say nothing is too serious that you can't make light of it. Sometimes very profound wisdom can be found in witty jokes and clever remarks. Go for it, make me laugh. Laughing is good for the soul. Politics can make people so grumpy.

I think if it's a real question, a serious question, appearing to actually ask for rational thought, then YES, you should be serious about it.
However, if it is one of the 85% questions on here which is absurd and nothing but a slam/insult/slur/lie disguised as a "question" then YES, funny it up.
