And do you support someones decision for being over in Iraq fighting. NOT DO YOU SUPPORT THE WAR! do you support our soldiers choice of going over there and fighting? And if you do but you are against the war, do you want to bring them home for your own personal reasons, or do you want to bring them home to "save their lives" ? What's your deep true reasons for wanting to go against what our Men and Women serving in the Military want?

I hear a lot of Liberals / Democrats say that those who support the war should enlist and go fight. But I also hear the same people say they want to bring our soldiers home and end the war. WE all want our soldiers home safely, but do you REALLY want to take them from what they feel is right in their hearts? I asked a questioner this and would like to hear all Liberal or Democrat responses

What is your true passion and do you participate or practice what you love the most?

I think some of you are missing the point of my question. NOT surprising though.

Basically I don't understand the Mentality of someone saying if you support the war then go enlist and join them. I mean if you support abortion should you go and have one even if you want to keep the child?

I support the military AND the war. It cannot be any other way.

The two are inextricably linked.

What most liberals will not admit is that they hate the war AND the troops.

If we as a nation adopt a principle of defeat after 2 yrs/3000 troop lives as the liberal media and democrats suggest (except for Joe Leiberman) America will never win a war again. It is fact that the American public tires of war after 2 years.

Every single war we've ever had starts to lose support as it drags on because people forget how it all started to begin with, cannot see the end in sight, and ignore the good things that do happen as a result.

To liberals, its not about what the troops think or the results of defeat. Its all about following your anti-war, eco-activist, anti-Christ agenda and philosophy.

As a X Marine I don't support the present Military configuration.

We need a 100% draft 2 years active 4 years reserve. With the only exemption being enlistment in one of the volunteer branches like the Navy Air Force or Marines.

I don't support the war because it is being executed poorly.

Like the Arctic Explorer Christensen, that abandoned Scott on his Southpole expedition " I leave you not for lack of courage. I have no desire to die with a fool"

He later joined the Amundsen expedition and they did survive after discovering the South Pole.

Someone needs to tell Bush... We are not going to drive in circles any more!!!

What does support the troops mean anyways? 2/3 of the homeless are Vets. So why do republicans wish they would all disappear? You can't stand poor people and want troops to fight risk there lives and you "support" them for your agenda. Then when its over, your "support" seems to whither. I'm a poor person so my opinion probably doesn't matter to you anyway. I also wonder why so many Republicans are Pro-Life? Supporting the war is Pro-Death right? You want people to die so your "enemy" will die too. If we (Americans) truly wanted to put our troops lives at risk for people's freedom, we would be in Darfur. Give me an argument for not going to Darfur. Why don't we commit to that. We have heard that Al-Queda is there right? Supporting the war-lords.

As a libertarian, I think everyone has the right to choose there path. My problem is that this isnt just a decision that effects them and their heart etc. Soldiers are basically (not all) uninformed about what it means to be the part of the cause of death of others. Unless they have experienced war first hand before, they can't know what its like to smell the stench of dead bodies, see innocent casualties, and to turn lives upside down because of what someone told them was their idea of right and wrong.

Its especially sad that we in the US have so much power to decide where to place our massive forces, given that most of our leaders dont have that individual experience of standing in the aftermath of a death zone

That's an intriguing question.I support the war and the troops, but If the vast majority of the troops decided it was lost and they wanted to end it then of course I would support their decision since they have ALL the first hand information.

I support the troops and 85% of the troops still think that we should be over there. I support the troops enough to understand that they are doing what they believe is right. If they think that they should still be over in Iraq then they should still be there. It is not my job to decide whether or not we should be at war, but rather vote on what I believe is best for our country's future.

How can liberals claim to support the troops when they write up bills that cut their funding?

How can liberals claim to support the troops when they accuse them of rape and murder?

How can liberals claim to support the troops when they don't believe in the mission they're on?

How can liberals claim to support the troops when they insist on retreat from Iraq because our troops aren't doing a good enough job of winning the war?

How can liberals claim to support the troops when they insist that the war can't be won and that victory is impossible?

Funny that if you support our troops, support our president, and support our mission in Iraq that liberals insist that you enlist and go fight on the front lines. But if you bytch and complain about the US mission in Iraq, then you don't have to do a damn thing.

Who did you poll when you say it's what they want? The National guardsmen, the military that has not seen they're families for 15 months. I think they feel a duty to do what they have been commanded to do. As far as wanting to be in baghdad being blown up and shot at, I'm not so sure. God bless them all in whatever they have to do. we owe them and all who came before them our freedoms.

I have to. I'm in it.

And for the record: you cannot support me and somehow not support my chosen profession. And war is the serviceman's chosen profession. I can prove that on a home computer.

I don't care what you tell yourself to make you feel better at night; you can't have this one both ways. It just doesn't work that way.
