They just happen to believe that the "official" conspiracy theory that they accept is the correct one. Otherwise, they're no different from any other 911 conspiracy theorist.

Why? Because nobody was inside the WTC towers on that day to observe exactly how the towers collapsed. All the official explanation believers have is a THEORY AS TO HOW THE STEEL TRUSSES FAILED and the buildings "pancaked".

So don't kid yourself folks. If you believe the official explanation for 911, you're a conspiracy theorist just like the people at whom you scoff.

LOL, well Wyco, you believe that AQ secretly got together and planned 911, don't you?

Isn't that a conspiracy in which YOU believe? And don't you believe the THEORY of how the WTC towers fell?

2007-06-01 08:10:05 · update #1

Dkiller, that's a distinction without any relevance. Anyone who was in the building and observed how the trusses collapsed is dead, so they can't tell us what they observed.

Therefore, we still have no direct evidence as to how the steel actually collapsed.

LOL, okay Wyco, here's the definition of "conspiracy":

"An agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act."

http://education.yahoo.com/reference/dictionary/entry/conspiracy

So I ask you: did the Muslim hijackers YOU believe committed 911 have an agreement together to perfom a wrongful act, or did they not?

For the sake of not showing yourself to be a fool, please know what you're talking about.

If by that you mean we believe that there was a conspiracy among terrorists to hijack planes and fly them into the buildings, the resulting crash and fire causing those buildings to collapse as shown by engineers and scientists, then yes, we are conspiracy theorists.

While the sophism of the question is annoying (my definition of conspiracy vs yours), the questioner has a bit of a point.
Or what, did you all just conviniently forget that Osama Bin Laden was trained and armed by the CIA. And that for all intents and purposes nothing better than 9/11 ever happened to Bush Jr. The man had no mandate on 9/10 and then suddenly he is conquering the world for his Big Oil buddies.
Was it all planned? Well, there i disagree, it seems unlikely that this particular event was planned. On the other hand, the fact is that the think tanks who produced most of Bush's advisers (such as the New American Century People) had clearly stated they needed a "Tonkin Incident" to justify a war in Iraq much before 9/11.
Put the pieces together and it is far more striking that 9/11 was not planned by the US government. They facilitated it by training and arming Bin Laden and many like him, by hoping something like 9/11 would happen and by actually being the only group to benefit from the attack.
9/11 isn;t the conspiracy, the conspiracy is that the government and corporations make you think they are on your side when they are hell bent against you.

How do you know that there wasn't a joint operation between the two sides, Bush admin. and Al-Queda? Better yet, how do you know that Osama even exists?
- A.B.C. interviewed him in May 1998 ( according to my first link), but, the hunt for him started in '96 ( according to my second link). Does anyone find this odd? Not to mention the odd similarities between an implosion, and the wtc collapse- last two links. PROVE ME WRONG!!!

A conspiracy theory requires a conspiracy.

No /conspiracy/ is required to explain the failure of steel supports, when stripped of thier insulative coating by impact, and exposed to a massive quantity of burning jet fuel. It's a theory, yes. It is not a conspiracy theory, because it doesn't depend on the postulation of a conspiracy.

Now, "19 fanatics conspired with Al Qaeda to hijack 4 planes and fly them into buildings the costs of thier own life" is at least a theory about a conspiracy. But, it still isn't a 'conspiracy theory' in the same sense - because it doesn't require an ongoing conspiracy of silience and fact-manipulation, to cover it up.

Yes, they are conspiracy theorist. Especially if they believe that piece of drivel that Popular Mechanics published to debunk it. Very little of Popular Mechanics article is based on reality.

19 Muslims hihacked 4 U.S. commercial airliners.
Two were crashed into the World Trade Center.
One was crashed into the Pentagon.
One was flown into the ground in Pennsylvania.
Over 3000 people died.

That is not theory. The only conspiracy involved the Muslim terrorists who committed these acts.

Have to argue with you here, mate. There were ALOT of people inside the Trade Centers who observed, first-hand, how the Trade Centers collapsed. They just did not survive to be able to describe the situation to anyones satisfaction. Unless you believe the Towers were evacuated first?...

so you think that our government flew the planes into the wtc. even though bin laden took credit for it. that is a lie about steel not melting from high heat. didn't you see where that tanker truck wrecked in san francisco, and the metal ramps melted and gave way. you are seriously misguided if you think that our government is the enemy, and not the terrorists. i don't care much for bush either, but i would never think that an american government could do something like this.

No. A conspiracy means that a group got together and secretly planned and executed something.

Al Qaeda is very up-front about its involvement on 9/11. They're really proud of it. No conspiracy there. They're very open about it.
