The United States government is on the verge of approving a mass amnesty to millions of illegal aliens -- a plan pushed aggressively by meddling Mexican officials who reap billions of dollars in remittances (illegal aliens' earnings sent back to Mexico) without having to lift a finger to clean up their own country.

And the thanks we get? Internationally televised public

I am Mexican American and I am ashamed of how they were booing Miss USA. It's really stupid and immature. Most people don't have any brains. I really felt bad for her that she fell too. It was shocking to me. Most Mexicans make the rest of us look bad and Im not saying all because I know a lot of smart mature one's. All I can say is for all of them who booed are stupid and racist.

First of all- I think there are PLENTY of Mexicans who were plenty embarrassed by that.
Secondly, from what I've heard on TV (but who knows what you can believe from tv these days) a lot of Mexicans who are in Mexico are very unhappy with aspects of the bill unrelated to the "amnesty" bit- for instance:
Under the new proposal, immigrants applying for a visa would no longer get priority for family ties in the US, but, rather, based on their skills and education. In Mexico, this becomes a class issue- essentially this translates to them "we'll only let you in if you were rich enough to afford a great education" - because there aren't the kind of scholarship opportunities there are here in the States, so it is the rich kids who get the good education.

It's like being mad at your pet. And since our opinion doesn't matter anyway, getting mad just takes years off your life. (which is good because that decreases the burden you'll be on the state later on)

Soon, we may not have television stations to broadcast it on so just hang on.

No, I'm not mad. The booing was a reflection on the mexican people. If I was mexican I would be embarrassed though.
I don't think the Miss Universe pagent will be held back in mexico anytime soon.

Some Mexicans are embarrased by that - and it is too bad for them. But there is a reason why Mexico is a corrupt, 3rd world country. Their behavior is part of that.

I don't care if it's in Mexico. It makes me ashamed to be Mexican when those Mexicanos act like that. Just shutup and don't applaud if you hate the U.S. so much. Jesus Christ.

EXCUSE ME?

You are tying patriotism to the enthusiasm shown or not shown at a beauty pageant??

My dear, that contest - and others of it's ilk are so incredibly and morbidly irrelevant that it is a waste of time to type the words themselves.

You will find that out when you grow up and become an adult.

Yes, I am mad...and the booing was taking place WELL BEFORE SHE FELL! Her falling had nothing to do with the heckling that these people were doing!
