Liberals say that if we support the troops then we should enlist. ok.

so if Liberals support GAY marriage, should they marry a GAY people?
so if Liberals support Abortion, should they get an abortion?
so if Liberals support Univeral Health Care, should they pay extra 20% of Taxes?
so if Liberals support Global Warming, should they simply stop breathing out CO2 because CO2 is killing the earth?
so if Liberals support UN, should they join the PEACE MISSIONS in Lebannon, Somalia, Bosnia and Darfur now?

tell me please, I am all ears.

Great logic! I'm sure it will go right over the heads of the libs on here.

Peace warrior - have you been to my 360 page yet?

its not about supporting the troops- its about supporting the war.
and war is different than the other things you have listed.
the enlist statement is more or less saying that you might not support it if you were the one who was being hurt or killed.

I support gay marriage. I'm single and don't have a girl friend (or a boyfriend for that matter) to marry.
I know straight liberals and they don't have to marry someone of the same gender. same thing that gay people don't have to marry straight people to show they support marraiges between consenting adults of either gender

no one supports abortion- just the option to control your body.
I make the choice to control my body everyday. I choose to use birthcontrol and if I become pregnant I'll choose what to do.

who said it would be 20%?
I use private insurance, but I'll still pay taxes for universal. I don't know if I will drop my private insurance though.
I pay for public schools while I don't attend one and have no children don't I?
I pay taxes for high-wayconstuction when I prefer to walk or ride bikes
I also pay for fire fighter with my taxes and don't start fires or have a cat that climbs up trees.

no one supports glabal warming unless they want to die and take everything else with them. I'm willing to use different materials that are better for the earth. CO2 doesn't kill the earth, too much of it kills the earth.

I don't like going to areas that are at war. I'm not willing to do that and I won't complain abou the people who do it. I won't even complain to the people who support peace missions but won't do it themselves.
you can work toward peace and support the un in more ways than just going on peace missions.
I also wouldn't participate in UN activities because I'm not trained for them

Your logic is so astoundingly flawed it's difficult to know where to begin.
Liberals support Gays so they can marry eachother.
Liberals support Choice, not abortion.
Liberals support Universal Health Care and who said that it would cause a rise in taxes? Cut the amount of money paid to the military (which is 40% of every tax dollar) and cut the 250 billion dollars in oil corporate subsidies every year that Bush has signed onto and we'd have plenty of money support an excellent healthcare system.
Hate to break it to you but conservatives know Global Warming is reality too. And we want to cut pollution of greenhouse gasses. Why are you so incredibly opposed to clean air?
The UN is also a non-liberal entity, it is a global entity.

You, however, support failed policies that get our soldiers killed. We say that if you are so full of vitriol and hatred toward the so called enemy in iraq, that you shouldn't just send other people's children, that you should go yourself and fight for what you believe in. We liberals will stay here in America and fight for what we believe in. And, we'll continue to fight for more funding for Vets healthcare. And, we'll fight against Bush's continued assault on Military vets healthcare by cutting it's budget. So that when you get back, there will still be a decent healthcare system to put you back together again.

Well ok if you insist but then if this is the way it is then the reverse must be done also such as

If you oppose gay marriage you are forbidden from ALL marriages

If you Oppose Abortion then you can NEVER do anything against a fetus even if mother will die and miscarriage must be illegal.

If you Oppose universal health care then you are forbidden from ALL types of health care and must pay 100% of all medical costs out of your pocket.

If you Oppose Global Warming then you are forbidden from breathing IN O2

If you Oppose UN then you are forbidden from every leaving country you were born in or speaking to anyone from outside the country you were born in.

I am not saying if i support or oppose any of these but just saying if one side has to go all the way then so does the opposite side

Liberals say if you are an ardent supporter of the war itself, then you should enlist.
Liberals support the right for gays to marry, not gay marriage itself.
Liberals support a woman's right to choose, not advocate abortion-on-demand.
Some liberals (but not a majority) would not mind paying extra for universal health care coverage. (Most liberals would prefer to divert spending from other areas rather than tax hikes.)
No one supports global warming, but the vast majority of ppl recognize it as a problem.
And liberals are involved in peace missions in Darfur and other areas.

But then, you're not sincerely seeking answers. Just spouting off typically twisted neo-con nonsense.

Well, if you judge by some of the questions asked here today (ie: why don't war supporters join the military), then yes.

In general, I don't think most people would take it to that extreme, though. And don't judge a whole group of people (liberals or conservatives) by what just one or a few of them say... generalizations are rarely accurate.

Actually, the thesis is, if you support the /war/, you should enlist. The liberals see supporting the /troops/ as simply /saying/ you support the troops - while you work tirelessly to assure thier defeat so they can 'come home safe.'

1) Liberals support the right of any American who wants to get married to be able to do so. That means that any liberal who wants to get married should be able to do so

2) Liberals support the right of any woman who wants to have an abortion to be able to do so. That means that any liberal woman who wants to have an abortion should be able to do so

3) Liberals would very much love to reduce corporate welfare and government waste so that taxes wouldn't have to increase to provide for the citizens of the United States

4) Human CO2 emissions are not a significant contributory factor to climate change

5) Liberals who support the UN support the UN doing its mission. One does not have to be a police officer to support the mission of your local police department.

Finally, your premise is flawed. Liberals do not say that you have to enlist in order to support the troops. They simply point out the cowardice of conservatives who are so gung-ho to send others to die for them.

Now that that's done...do you have a point?

Your logic is flawed. The global warming piece is CO (carbon MONOXIDE). Carbon dioxide (CO2) works with plants to produce oxygen (simplified for this forum). Liberals don't believe that gays SHOULD BE ALLOWED to marry as the same being gay and being required to marry gay (we leave lock-step processes to the GOP).

Liberals talk in terms of allowing freedoms, not restricting them. Most conservatives talk about freedom, but only freedom in terms of their limited perspective.
