If a Hollywood actress sued a web site for saying that she had plastic surgery and it got to court, could the defendant subpoena her medical records to prove that she did in fact have "work done"?

The majority of us are working class in America! The wealthy in rule & control screw us every angle they can even force us out of the money loop into poverty by all forms of immigration legal & illegal. I'm a front-end manager at a grocery store and we have underage kids posed as regular customers come in all the time trying to buy tobacco. One of my cashier's sold cigarettes to one of them, than two police officers come in and wrote her a citation, and then I had too suspend her. Now I know that she should have asked the kid for ID. But isn't this considered entrapment, and if not, than should it be?

We live in apartment with 8 units. We had a flat roof but It was in bad shape. The landlords decided to put a regular slanted roof up, and began I'd have to say a month ago. There is only him and his hired man doing this project. Since the begining of this project, of course it has rained a lot and there are lots of old wounds that have reopened in the ceiling, causing all of us to scramble for towels and then battle for the washer and dryer available to keep up with this mess. Is there a time limit the landlords should have to carry on such a project. This is just beyond getting old

Hey, its an honest question that shows the wrong on the sides of both major political parties. Anything else and the democrats might jump on Bush with both feet, just because they can. SO why are the same "hypocisy-crats" quiet as church-mice about these matters? Hmm. ....and who, then, is supporting the will of the average working American? -Oops.

It's illegal to hire undocumented workers. I know you have to show a few documents to show you are legal - but there is no requirement to even check to see if these are real.

If you are arrested and not a legal resident you are supposed to be deported. We don't seem to be doing this.

I'm sure there are lots of other laws that don't get enforced. The gun crowd likes to point out there are 20,000 gun laws already on the book and we don't need more. Maybe we should apply this to illegal immigration too.

the neocons anymore than we trust Iran's government? They lied about the USS Liberty; they lied about other events...

Iran's president has threatened to destroy Israel, or, to quote the misquote, "Israel must be wiped off the map." Contrary to popular belief, this statement was never made.
The Actual Quote:
So what did Ahmadinejad actually say? To quote his exact words in Farsi:
"Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad."
That passage will mean nothing to most people, but one word might ring a bell: rezhim-e. It is the word "regime." pronounced just like the English word with an extra "eh" sound at the end. Ahmadinejad did not refer to Israel the country or Israel the land mass, but the Israeli regime. This is a vastly significant distinction, as one cannot wipe a regime off the map. Ahmadinejad does not even refer to Israel by name, he instead uses the specific phrase "rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods" (regime occupying Jerusalem).

I'm not an american and don't know anything about the court system here in the US. It's so confusing !!!

A lot of the blacks I know are anti-gay, anti-abortion, big church people and apparently are vehemently against illegal immigration as well. So how come, they are willing to forgo all of that just to vote against Republicans?
I'm liberal as they come so the Republican party does nothing for me but I'm pretty sure that if it did its homework, it'd be able to attract a lot of the minority vote ( I believe a lot of Hispanics are conservatives too).
So what's the problem? They just don't need the vote?

has anyone ever been made to pay money back to the government from a deceased persons estate?
My mother who had disabilities (eg blindness)
We found she had money in an account we were unaware of £26,000 and she had care x3 times a day to help her with drugs, dressing, washing etc
My feelings are she was entitled to this care through the government - as anything other than the care would have resulted in her going into a home.
What is the situation with regard to the government making a claim on the £26,000 shared between me and my brother.
Can I argue against them claiming anything back?
Has anyone any advice for me - just as a for instance, I purchased a 2nd car 2 years ago to help her get about, as my primary car has only 2 seats and was unsuitable, my fear is this will be ignored by the goverment, and yet she presumably could have claimed for mobilitity allowance.
Can any one help me with advice on this and how to stop them clawing back money from my mothers estate?

a man i've met is telling me stories that sound too big to be credible...navy ('61-'65) his m.o.s. was storekeeper, but he was trained in martial arts, so he was a bodyguard and driver for pierre salinger, mcnamara, and dean rusk (sp?). during his time stationed in hawaii. he also says that he deployed to viet nam after being trained as a navy frogman (but sometimes says he was on the first seal team). he says he was injured severely twice in viet nam and ended up in the naval hospital in california, where john wayne came by and visited him..earned a purple heart, but threw it away. after that, he became a cop, and the stories get much bigger after that. there are so many giant stories, i don't know what to believe.

It has been consistently said there are about 12 Million Illegal Aliens in the U.S., but that has been for a long time (at least 10 Years), and I think the number NOW is significantly greater than that, but I live in a state with a lot of illegal aliens.

The question calls for your opinion, and I would also like to know which state you are from.

Just see how some old ladies ready to kick the bucket are also in the show against illegals and from the rally run to the church. These are great americans. At this point worry to survive just enough to take your daily pills. Come on.

they've chosen to ignore the fact that sunnis and shiites are the two factions currently butchering one another, and also targeting US troops as a means of expanding their influence.

so why does the white house insist that if we pull out of iraq, al quaida will be in power, when the sunnis are backed by the saudis, and the shiites are backed by iran?

Will anyone contact congress and the president about this immigration bill which is nothing but amnesty?? I have!! This is the only way to let the congress and president know how we feel. Is it me, or do the majority of the people in this country (legals) just want us to enforce the laws we have and not give amnesty to the illegal aliens in this country??????

Our government is based on the truth that all people have unalienable rights and that among these are the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Personally I don’t believe these rights include the right to receive something for nothing (e.g., food stamps, medical care), but I do believe a right to pursue employment is reasonably included. If someone wishes to work for compensation of some sort, they should be able to negotiate with someone for that job without interference from a government. I believe this right extends to all people in the world, not just U. S. citizens. Laws that interfere with this right are unjust such as: minimum wage and a requirement for citizenship. Government exists to protect our rights, not take them away.

This is for a car accident body injury! My case is already settled and been paid from the other insurance. The check was in my name and sent to my attorney office 2 months ago. I was away so I endorsed to him. He received his share $12,500 (25%) of $50,000. He then sent me a check for $10,000 and still due for $2,500 at least that he has not sent to me. I can't get a straight answer to why my hospital bill is not paid yet. The hospital bill is $400 that I have to paid. Okay, I found out on my credit report that the bill is sent to collection agency. Been over month now, my attorney have not respond to. I am going to write to him because I am in a another state now.

At this point, I am tire of chasing him for the money. What should I do?

1. Should I fired him and get my money which still left is $27,500 and paid my hospital on my own and keep the rest?
or is that the attorney's job?
2. Should I contact the hospital/collection for re-instatement for the bills? What is my rights

If your answer has something to do with lung cancer, just eat brownies (that'll solve that).
If your answer has something to do with it being illegal (I'm sure you've broken the law in one way or another any way). If you haven't broken the law once in you're life... you're lying (speeding counts).
