Why is everyone so worry about immigration as if everyone is going to have a life of 700 years?
Just see how some old ladies ready to kick the bucket are also in the show against illegals and from the rally run to the church. These are great americans. At this point worry to survive just enough to take your daily pills. Come on.

All of the illegal immigrants/ legal immigrants that I know are very good, decent, hardworking people. They are in fact better people than many U.S. born citizens.
Those here making these outlandish, ridiculous comments about illegal immigrants do not have their facts straight.
Rather than taking the time to complain about these people, you should do some research before opening your mouth otherwise you sound very foolish.
Many illegals can obtain working permits which means they can legally work here. And with that, they are given a legitimate SS#. Therefore, they do file their income taxes and are paying their own way and not riding on the US tax dollar as you ignorantly assume. Yet when the tax refunds come around, they do not see any of that money they paid b/c they are not legal, so they virtually lose ALL of that money they paid into taxes. Don't try to say I'm wrong b/c I know people that go through this very process so I know what I am saying.
What you also do not understand is the process to be able to enter the US legally. The process can take very long, be costly and many times they are denied without any good reason. You seem to think they can apply for free, and within 2 months they're in. Not true.
Another thing you donot understand is how hard it is to make a living in those countries such as Mexico, El Salvador,Guatamala, etc. Not only is it difficult to even get the smallest job, but the pay is so small, it is almost impossible to survive on. Can you IMAGINE surviving on $20 a DAY? Most earn even LESS than that!
Accompanied by the ridiculous prices to purchase the neccessities over there- things do not cost the same in those countries as they do here.I've visited one of these countries and I couldn't believe how they have to live and what they have to live on. Makes me appreciate what I have and how I can live. Most of these people are not criminals. How stupid to say that they steal SS#'s! That's your fellow Americans that are doing that to us, not them.
It is unfortunate how too many Americans are so heartless and racist. These people really want a better life for themselves and their families.

What about our fellow US citizens who are abusing the welfare system? ABUSING it! They lie to get on it and do not attempt to find jobs and keep having more kids just so they can stay on it. I guess as long as you're a US citizen, you are free to do anything.
Illegals DO NOT get a free ride with medical services-they must pay their own way. Yet ANOTHER statement that you have wrong.

Why worry about immigration? Do you live here, or in some other country? Illegal immigration is nothing short of an invasion. It serves no other purpose than to weaken the U.S. It does not help Mexico; the best people in Mexico are leaving it. Why? because of their dictatorial "Presidents". The U.S. population has more than doubled in the past 60 years; most of the good farm land was already gone by 1960. Most of the cities and highways are being built in farmlands. Do you prefer to go hungry so that illegals may run your life? Immigration itself is not the issue: the issue is breaking the law. When the law is broken, which other laws will you break? Illegal immigrants are law-breakers and have no rights: they are the same as any one who holds up the 7-11 or steals a car or shoots the President.
Good jobs are being taken away from citizens for illegals because corporate America wants to maximize profits (they don't pay social security taxes, etc., or unemployment taxes or provide health insurance, retirement, etc.) There are plenty of citizens who want the jobs, but are not allowed to work.
Take the basic economics class: there is a limit to everything. There is only so much food, so much land, so much water. The biggest problem people face is not war: it's having too many babies. 60 years ago people in Bangladesh were starving by the millions; they are still starving by the millions. So, instead of Mexicans or Canadians, we should be allowing Bangladeshians to come into the country!

We worry about *illegal* immigration because it's a threat to the USA's security and economic well-being. And in case you missed the news, the Senate is considering an ill-conceived amnesty bill. Therefore, we discuss it.

They DO get medical care...if you REALLY did work at a medical clinic you would know that
They are the reason why many medical clinics in los angeles have closed down.

That aside...other than lying about your occupation and the way things really are...you are also saying that no one should care about the future of this country because they wont be here for too long.
I'll bet you're a chronic polluter too. Why care about the environment? It's not like you are going to have to see the end result of it all

Those of you who call yourselves "real true born americans"... and complain about people going to your country changing your language, customs and culture... What about native americans??? your ancestors did the same thing to those poor people who could not defend themselves from the massive newcomers. They lost their "jobs" and rightfully owned land. A "high prize" to pay for the immigrants who wanted a better life a better country...
Will the same thing happen again???
It's very likely!!! hahahaha

"Medi-Cal, California's Medicaid program, spends more than $400 million annually childbirth-related care -- including pregnancy tests, prenatal care and postnatal checkups -- for undocumented immigrants, according to documents and reports, the Los Angeles Times reports. California in 1989 passed a law that guaranteed prenatal care to women living in poverty, and the state last year began to fund the law with federal funds allocated for health care expenses for working families. According to state reports, Medi-Cal covers childbirth expenses for 100,000 undocumented women each year -- or about one in five births in the state. Medi-Cal covered expenses for 41,240 births in Los Angeles County for undocumented women in 2004, approximately half of the births covered by the program. Gary Wells, CFO of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, said Medi-Cal "pays even more than insurance" for obstetric services. Medi-Cal spends an average of $3,224 for each vaginal birth and $5,153 for each caesarean section birth, according to state estimates. Labor and delivery are considered to be medical emergencies entitled to some federal health insurance programs, but federal officials have not covered prenatal care costs since at least the 1980s, according to the Times. "

And then there is this:

"Through their citizen children, illegal immigrants in Los Angeles County collect $420 million annually in welfare and food stamps, according to a report requested by 5th District County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services told the supervisor that payments to illegal immigrants' children amount to approximately 24% of the county's combined CalWORKS and food stamps budget, officials said.

"What we found was kind of astonishing," said Tony Bell, an Antonovich aide. "
