33 people are dead and people on here have been turning this atrocious incident into a political and racial issue. It's not. He had issues. He was crazy.... and crazy people come in all races and political parties. And the illegal immigrant thing doesn't apply here. He had a green card and purchased the gun legally.

What we all need to focus on is the warning signs that he, as well as other serial killers, have displayed in the past so that we can hopefully prevent something like this from ever happening again.

Don't you agree???

I am a 17 year old ending her junior year in Kentucky. I am interested in being emancipated from my parents for various reasons all of which they consent too. Thus, there would be a mutual agreement on the emancipation. However, after researching it online I am wondering if Kentucky has any sort of emancipation law and if it does not then how could something simliar to an emancipation occur? As I am still a bit more than year from graduating high school I know that it would it would be worth it, I am just concerned legally it would be a whole lot of trouble. My parents are unwilling to let me move out unless it is legally declared which makes sense since I would be moving to another state and enrolling in my old school. If anyone can fill me in on the laws that would be great!

My girlfriend will give birth to our first child later this year. She is Estonian and she will give birth here. I know that I can get American citizenship for the child, but that will nulify his Estonian citizenship, which would disqualify him and his mother from getting one year's salary, under the "mother's pay" law they have here. If I wait a year to get him American citizenship, does it still qualify as Citizen by birth? Thanks for any help!

twice i have had answers that were non-threating and non-profane flagged as violations and removed. how about a public forum of top contributors to read the questions and answers and decide if the answerer, the questioner, or the FLAGGER should be removed.
perhaps another forum were one might debate the FLAGGER?
and libs just because you can't come up with an intellegent response dont flag the rest of us out. unless its the only way you know of course.
perhaps i should say sayonarra now.

He learned that while the speed limit and seat belt laws might not apply to him,the sudden stop at the dashboard applies to everyone. Should we at least be glad that one of our "fine politicians" has had the opportunity for this learning experience? At least now when he preaches on traffic safety he will know what he's talking about. Knowledge is after all power.

I had heard a news report stating that Asian students asked for and recieved special police protection to save them from percieved retaliation attacks. I am just trying to find out if this is true and if threats have been made.

Students in the last few years have suicided by hanging themselves in DORMS, overdosing in DORMS, jumping of the roof of their DORMS and now a shooter that started in a DORM.

Wake up people, it is DORMS that causes this. We need to have dorm control and now. Maybe a background check or a 30 day cooling off period. Surveillence cameras in all the rooms. If we save just one child it is worth the loss of privacy.

This guy was on anti depressants. The Columbine kids were on anti depressants. Pittman(on zoloft at 12 years old) killed his grandparents. When are you people going to realize what drug companies are doing to your kids? America is a drug nation. Politicans pander to drug companies cause drug companies are the ones who have the $$$.
Keep drugging your kids America and watch more of these incidents happen. Who cares if scientists arent completely sure how these drugs work on the body. At least it appeases the massess.

Why do Americans allow themselves to be peddled by these drug companies 24/7

Seriously, please explain WHY it is necessary to have gun shops for the general public. WHY? I am looking for a REAL GOOD REASON. Protection?, come on! The 2nd amendment right to bear arms is ludicrous TODAY, maybe 200+ years ago but NOT today. Only law enforcement and certified security personnel need guns. Surely with gun control many crazies wound not conveniently buy guns, some would but many would be rejected or puzzled by the process of purchasing them.

I don't mean they whack job that bought the gun, I mean the laws that prevent law abding people (faculty, staff, and students) from carrying concealed weapons. If one other person had a legal gun, would 31 people be dead today?

The Virginia Tech massacre reminds me of 9/11. It wasn' another country terrorizing us; however, it was, after all, carnage. Why would anyone need the type of gun he used? Something is wrong here. I have cried and prayed for the victims of Va Tech and the survivors, families and students. Everyone I have been in contact with can talk of nothing else and our country mourns AGAIN.

When the Government disarms Americans
I my opinion, thats when America will be lost.

If a good student at VA Tech, had a gun, he/she may have save a couple dozen lives.
