PLEASE explain WHY we must have gun shops for the general public. WHY? I am looking for a REAL GOOD REASON. Protection?, come on! The 2nd amendment right to bear arms is ludicrous TODAY, maybe 200+ years ago but NOT today. Only law enforcement and certified security personnel need guns. Surely with gun control crazies would not conveniently buy guns, some would, many would be rejected or puzzled by the purchase process or street dealing.

target shooting? hunting? give em up like one has to give up a sport because of injury. I ruined my knee, had to give up basketball, baseball... but took up bike riding. life has disappointments. sure many crazies would find other ways but some would NOT. HOW freakin important is your obsolete civil war mentality and god damn need to shoot TARGETS!!! former NY'er I've been victim to 2 violent crimes, and I was on Bernie Goetz's side from the git. We do NOT need GUNS to protect ourselves from the govt. They stick it up our butts in ways guns cant.

The Second Amendment was created so that individuals had the right to defend their goods and persons from individual agressors and tyrannical governments. It seems that this has been distorted into a doctrine of militarism and legalized anarchy. Isn't it time that Americans introduced proper gun controls to stop this kind of abuse of the founding priniciples of our country?

The presence of assault weapons, and militarl type of weapons freely sold in the market and stores, actually expose our communities to unsafe environment to live, work or study. Gun control measures should include:
a) Age Limit to carry a gun
b) Type of Guns should be streamlized to hunting gun only.
c) Nationality carrying a gun in US should be limited to US born Citizen.
d) All public places including schools should be manned with police and security officers.
e) Adequate patrolling of police and security officers within the campuses, streets, Hospitals etc

We need more security measuresnow, since we now have more enemies within.

The killings and bombings are escalating with our attempts to strengthen the established Iraqi government's control. What more can these people do to show they don't want the future we designed for them?

A lot of innocent people(myself included) are going to catch a l of hell because we are loners and dress in black a lot. I was forwarded an email that described two white males who wear dressed in black. The email pretty much already convicted the two men simply because they were wearing black. Columbine was even mentioned. All they were doing was going through a building on their way to class, minding their own business. I have encountered many things like this in the past despite the fact that I never did anything other than go about my day. A good day is when no one bothers me. However, I am apparently a crazed maniac because I am a loner who wears black a lot. I hate that a lot of innocent people are going to hear a bunch of nonsense.

My brother in-law lived with his nan for many years, but in her will she left the house to her 2 great grandchildren. Her will was made null and void, so he then got into debt and had a charging order placed on the property. He is now homeless and selling the house to pay off the debt, and hoping for some cash back. Is this legal?

I can hear it now, total gun control. I would like to wonder what might have been if a student or two with concealed carry permits had been packing.

I hear that argument so often. What has the greatness of a country to do with people trying to immigrate. There are countries with nothing to eat in Africa and people flee there.
Why do USA citizens think, it must be a sign of being a great country, if people flock to it.

With only 28% of Americans being republican, they need the votes of the independents.
The "my way or the highway" attitude is a poor campaign strategy and they will end up losing even more seats in Congress in 2008

What were the pros/cons living in a military family? Was moving around from base to base an issue for you, or did you see it as an adventure? Do you resent your parents because they never really provided any roots? Was it difficult to make friends, or did you have an easy time? Do you think you got to spend enough quality time with your parents, particularly the one who was deployed? I'm more interested in how the military lifestyle affects the family concerning things they really can't control, such as moving. Not about what it was like living in a "strict" or "rigid" household. Thank You.

even the traditional left is also treating them as vote bank. all the parties in power are taking care not to create social awareness among them but trying to keep them perpetually in poverty. no government has shown inclination for literacy among Muslim women, instead , they are giving subsidy for haz pilgrimage. sachar committee report testifies the miserable conditions in which the Indian Muslims are living. WHEN WILL THE POLITICAL PARTIES AGITATE FOR THE BETTERMENT OF MUSLIMS , AND MUSLIM WOMEN PARTICIPATION IN ELECTIONS, SO THAT THEIR VOICES CAN BE HEARD IN PARLIAMENT.

It is soo easy to incorrectly shoot someone when hostilities are surrounding you. Add to the fact that it is a stressfull environment... PLEASE LIBS DONT SAY "WELL WE SHOULD NOT BE THERE". WE ARE NOW GET OVER IT. We should not put these guys on trial. Think about it, if your son were to go there, I UNDERSTAND LIBS THAT MOST OF YOU WOULD NEVER LET YOUR SON GO THERE, WOULD YOU NOT WANT HIM TO SHOOT 1ST AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER. I would. It is a disgrace to put these poor guys on trial. Am I the only one who thinks that?
