Absolutely.
As long as we have political parties, PACS, lobbyists and private financing of political candidates, those elected do the bidding of their supporters. Eliminate all the above and have government financing of all elections ans see how fast things change. The politicians will have to do the will of the voters or be thrown out.

Yes, it is the best money can buy. We can take it back. By working through grass roots campaigns and voting for the candidates who are not in the pockets of the corporations and lobbyists we can take our country back. One good way to start is for a massive campaign to contact our representatives, by phone, email, or letter and tell them that we are mad as hell and we won't take it anymore. They must do something immediately to reform or find themselves out of their seat in Congress.

That's a fair point. But it's also fair to say, in spite of all its faults and present division among the people, we still have the best government and country on the planet.
