I think Segolene Royal would be a good choice...and I also saw that many people want Bayrou in the second tour....Anyway as long as it is not Sarkozy and Le Pen I think you're going to be good...

I'd go for Segolene Royale rather than Nicolas Sarkozy,
Although I honestly think Sarkozy has the edge when it comes
to experience and his political views are clearer'
He is also a more divisive politician, intensely disliked by
the left and supporters of Chirac and le Villepin don't like
or seem to trust trust him a lot either.
He is a very skillfull politician never the less.
Segolene Royale is a lot less outspoken and restricts herself
to family issues / and topics of a more 'social' nature.
She sits on the fence when it comes to 'Hard Politics'.
Yet it may not be a bad idea to have her as a President,
to see if this approach bears some fruit.
I'm also curious how a women would do a job like President
de la Republique, let's see.
I still think Sarkozy will probably win though.

Ségolène Royal. France needs someone to change French society for the better - not to keep it running the same way it has been under all the years of Chiraq like Sarkozy will.
