This is not something that normally occurs and the their public safety is most likely not trained to deal with a situation like this(I really would not expect them to be either). I work at a university and I do not think we would ever expect a shooting here, but if it happened I would not imagine our public safety would have the proper training for it.

If it is determined that a gun shop owner sold this nutcase a handgun illegally, do you think he should lose his store? I do, whoever sold this whackjob a handgun should be held responsible for the damage it's caused.

This morning I was eating a granola bar and choked on a peice of a blue plastic bag that was in the granola bar. It was a pretty good sized peice. I was alone where I work and by some miracle I coughed it back out now my throat hurts. Should I talk to a lawyer?

I was amused by those who say the people of New Orleans should help themselves without any federal assistance.

I see no reason we need to foot the bill for congressional vacations....uhm 'junkets'. Their job is to legislate--I don't see how spending $10,000/hr to fly to a 5 star resort will related to their job function at all. How stupid do they think we are?

No wonder they don't want to fund the troops, there wouldn't be enough left over for their vacations.

If anyone could find out WHICH congresspersons went on vacation on our dime, please post it for me. I've been looking and haven't found it (yet). I'd like to write to each of them and most respectfully express my displeasure.............especially if they are from my state.........

We recieve reports of our men and women who are killed in Iraq. Is there a reason why our U.S. Flag isn't flown at half mast in memory of these people?

I just saw a question that posed "why did Bush show up at Virginia Tech within hours When it took him days to get to New Orleans"
And the answers to why the Fuhrer didn't show up were hysterical...
"there was nowhere to land"
"why should he go there the place was a mess"
" I don't remember Bill Clinton going to the first WTC bombings"

LOL...............

Is this why Americans are now viewed abroad as either the laughing stock of the planet, or the pathetic child minded minions of ruthless corporatism?

Obviously, if you couldn't buy handguns, semi-automatics, and high capacity clips, many people would still be alive.

Sometimes civilians, even college and high school students, need to take steps to defend themselves. What could you do to disarm a lone gunman in a situation like at Virginia Tech? Think about it. You'll be better prepared if you consider it now.

I hear many saying that it is because of gun laws that the shootings happened in VA. So, is it because students didn't have guns that they were killed? Or was it because someone WITH a gun went on campus and shot them all? BTW, if you are a gun owner, did you bring it to school with you everyday locked and loaded? Because it would have only been with that kind of foresight that you could have reacted quickly enough...

Well I know some one who set my school on fire, so should i tell. And well I can prove how it was him it in more 5 ways.

1) He sent me messages before hand and after about what he was going to do and how.
2) He recorded it on his phone (so the police can take it off or something)
3) He cut his hand and bled on the floor when he broke through the door and the police can match up his DNA(also I had to clean the cut).
4) He did it 5 minutes after he finished work and he has a motive.
5) The fuel used for the fire was from a oil container that he use to keep in the boot of his car (can they match that up)?

Well I want to go to the police but only if I know there is enough evidence to put him into jail (so I can be safe from him). Also he is over 18 . So can any lawyers or police tell me I have enough to prove that he is guilty and if so will he go to jail?
And how can the police keep me safe from him(he has threatened me if i tell)?

...the preception Americans have a Right to own guns is
WRONG....Americans have the Previledge to own guns..
a previledge which can be revoked....(a right is not revokable,
a person is born with it)! Is this correct?

So, why all the phony rationalizations about owning guns. Handguns are built to kill other people, pure, and, simple.

Ok,..so now it's a big fuss about the Americans wanting to place some sort of anti-missile shield in Europe too but Russina dissagree with that. My opinion is that Americans should stay the fcuk on their 'bottoms' and not interfere wherever they want to,...just like with the oil crisis,..anywayz,....let's not get into details. My question is what does this shield consist of? I mean,..is it a huge laser gun,...is it a visible shield that doesn't let missiles in? (sounds really stupid!). Anyway, in case u know the answer, please post it,...just for the sake of it. Thanks
