I see no reason we need to foot the bill for congressional vacations....uhm 'junkets'. Their job is to legislate--I don't see how spending $10,000/hr to fly to a 5 star resort will related to their job function at all. How stupid do they think we are?

No wonder they don't want to fund the troops, there wouldn't be enough left over for their vacations.

If anyone could find out WHICH congresspersons went on vacation on our dime, please post it for me. I've been looking and haven't found it (yet). I'd like to write to each of them and most respectfully express my displeasure.............especially if they are from my state.........

Dylan--this isn't partisan. I don't want to pay for anybody's vacaction--'cept my own. I just want to tell the $hitheads who went on taxpayer money what I think.

Notice it is mostly democrats that are taking advantage of stuff like this too... I am not saying I like republicans either I believe they are both equal opportunity liars, but I do believe that this is typical of a democrat type. Whats best is these 13 people were probably key in refusing to give the military the funding they need too.

now im curious and going to look into it.

That's no big deal, anyone with a registered business that pays US income taxes can do that. Its easier to deduct travel & expenses to places like the caribbean than it is to attend a tradeshow in Paris. According to our existing tax code.
