Not so fast skippy, Korea and Vietnam were failed DEMOCRATIC wars.
I am a decorated, disabled veteran who advises all young people to stay away from our military right now. Democrats and Republicans alike are abusing the selfless service of our troops. American military members are dying to meet political ends not to protect our nation. Don't let millionaire power-mongers like Bush and Clinton waste your life so they and their friends can line their pockets with more cash.
If you want to serve your country, join your local police force.

One more is far too many. Who will be the last? Bring em Home, NOW. The Impeachment of both Bush and Cheney is the only course of action for Democrats. BTW, there is a difference between "war" and "occupation", why do Democrats refuse to use the PC term? If you recall. Congress approved the search for WMDs and the removal of Saddam. Congress never approved the occupation of Iraq.

One has to ask WHY we're where we are! Lets not forget the 3,000 innocent men, women, and children that died on 9/11 which was one of the primary reasons for going to battle in the first place.
Also, one has to remember, we're fighting over there to avoid fighting upon our own soil. The terrorists have made it very clear....this is a war THEY started....not us!
Your way of thinking reminds me of the mindset on December 7th, 1941. Americans felt defeated before entering WWII at Pearl Harbor. However, when the brave soldiers of the United States and the US Marines raised the American flag atop Mount Suribachi, Iwo Jima, Americans finally realized that our freedoms of speech and our liberties as we know them today, were no longer in jeopardy.
The freedom of speech you so willingly use cost more lives than you'll ever realize.
Best wishes!

So far, not as many as those that died between 1992 and 2000 when Billybob Clinton allowed the terrorists to kill Americas without any fear of reprisals. Clinton managed to get well over 4,000 troops killed and we weren't even at war unless you count that undeclared war that Clinton and Sasquatch Reno waged against the Branch Davidians for failing to get proper building permits. They only killed 88 men, women and children then. "We can't allow those people to build a residence without a permit boys, open fire and mow 'em down!"

We haven't failed yet, obviously you want us to because you are already projecting this outcome. What we need now is optimism and support so our troops can establish a STABLE government over there and then they can come home. And afghanistan war is not failed, we have major success there.

i do not imagine the bill will damage the Democrats contained in the subsequent election - yet they could do extra acceptable. vote casting to as we talk quit funding the warfare should be impractical - yet they could contain a provision contained in the subsequent version of the bill requiring a roll decrease back of the Bush tax cuts to pay for the funding that the President has requested. it really is immoral to bypass the full value of Bush's warfare on to the subsequent era.
