There is a very large commercial van belonging to a window company, which is being parked on the road right outside my house every evening and all weekend and this has been happening for the last few months now. They are definitely not carrying out any work at the other houses in my road and obviously, for whatever reason, the driver is unable to park it at his own house, which I assume is nearby, but we've never actually seen him. Not only does it look incredibly ugly right in front of our house, but it obstructs my view when I reverse down our drive to go to work and makes moving the car very difficult. We have even tried ringing the company number written on the van but it is on answerphone all day and they never respond to our messages. What are our rights here and how should we go about getting the company to move the van? Any advice would be great as we're just not sure where we stand.

I understand you can do this through direct commissioning. I have started the process, but it seems fairly long. Would it be possible to enlist first and then sign up for OCS, or does that require a long bureacratic process as well. If I did enlist and then signed up for OCS, how long would that take?

I recently had some photographs taken in a studio. I received a contact sheet (small images in order to choose which ones I want to purchase) and selected the photographs I wanted. I am due to collect them on Saturday but my partner noticed some problems with the ones I selected, for example there is a huge crease in the white paper they used. The studio also promised to remove a clump of hair from another photo I selected. I am concerned that this company will not correct any of these things and will want me to pay for the photographs. Where do I stand legally?

Hey my brother is living in one state and me in another. He is behind on his child support and wanting to come and stay with me long enough to work and save the money to pay it off. He says he can't pay it off if he stays in town because they (the cops) have a warrant, know where he works and lives and will arrest him before he has a chance to pay it off. I would really like to help him, but can I get into any trouble if I do? We don't have any other family for him to turn to, and I certainly can't afford to pay it for him, but then again I don't want him to stick around there and end up in jail for a year when he could come here and save the money to pay it off in a couple months. What should I do? He says that they won't come here looking for him, and that as long as he doesn't get into trouble he'll be safe. Is this a viable option? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I pay my child support by direct debit weekly. and have done for the last 4 years (since my child was born). This is by 'verbal' private agreement (not written).

I have heard some horror stories.. can my ex claim from csa for the whole last 4 years by saying that i have never paid anything?. I keep some bank statements but not all. If its not written.. could she just say that the money i have paid was for something different (eg. money owed etc).. and that i have never paid anything in child maintenence???

Appreciate answers from professionals in the know. ta.

People keep linking LEGAL immigration to the disaster we have with ILLEGAL aliens. Why is this? Is it because they don't think about the meaning of ILLEGAL and how they are breaking the law? WHAT PART OF ILLEGAL IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?

I am all for legal immigration. (My mother LEGALLY immigrated from Canada.) However, I am strongly against ILLEGAL aliens and feel they should back in their home country. They are destroying America!

More and more often I see liberal minded celebrities and political figures having featured questions on Yahoo Answers, or even on the Yahoo Homepage as "Current News".
Is Yahoo using Answers to promote liberal ideas and arguments without the burden of backing any statements with fact?
Isn't this the perfect forum to push quasi-utopian concepts onto people without needing to educate them on all sides of the arguement?
Isn't asking a loaded question, the same as telling everyone what to think?
Personally I think Yahoo is very close to a line they may not want to cross.
