Floridaguy, perhaps you didn't see that I posted the exact mirror image of the question also. I'm trying to gain an understanding of how the sides see each other. Thanks for playing!

Modern liberalism is a mix of classic socialist theory of redistribution of wealth and limited property rights, along with today's anti-war peacenik types who choose to discount islamist terrorism as a large threat, or blame it on America's policies. It usually includes feelings that America is a bad influence in the world overall, and believe it should align itself closer to UN dictated policies. A disproportionate number of those who consider themselves liberal also consider themselves atheistic, and believe religion is the cause of all problems. They believe the moral code adhered to by religious peoples, primarily Christians, is overly repressive and unfair to those who choose to live immoral lives.

They couldn't be more wrong.

Well if you look at some answers like kookoo, his automatic answer is conservatives are closed minded and not open to knew ideas and of course he answers liberals are openminded and tolerant.
Of course if you look at his questions and answers i think you will see that the words and the actions dont match.

Then you get floridag who is negative at you because he didnt bother to look and see that you made a question for each side.

Bella has a pretty harsh definition hehe.

Liberalism in the textbook sense meant pro personal freedoms.
It has come to mean personal freedoms on certain things and no freedoms for another. For instance most liberals are totally for freedom of speech but dont think people should have guns for example.
There seems to be a propensity to believe its the governments responsibility to take care of us.. so a tendency toward socialist programs as such.

specific,l i think of every physique might prepare that to themselves. it somewhat is gets greater complicated in how the two events go approximately attaining "equality". Liberal Democrats prefer the government to furnish every physique a job, a house, etc. without circumstance. Conservatives have confidence that if the government supplies us each and all the possibility and freedom to realize those issues, that interior the lengthy run we each and each will gain them by using not undemanding artwork, faith, own responsibilty.

There is a difference between the dictionary definition of Liberal and the society spin on the word and beliefs of liberals.

Liberalism in societal terms often refers to the extreme left of the spectrum in which they seem to distrust the gvt in terms of national security and military power, but are perfectly willing to put their entire social lives in the hands of that exact same gvt they claim to detest.

Someone please explain that logic.
