They want to give out free money to dead beats, ppl who live in the projects and have kids every year to keep getting free money. I mean I can see helping out our veterans but it sickens me to see the free loaders at the grocery store using food stamps and actually get better stuff than me when my family has to work thier behinds off. Dont act like you dont see it. Someone coming from the ghetto with about 7 kids. Geez its so pathetic. Mooching of the govt! Its sad!

My wife had implants some 20 years ago that were made by Dow-Corning. After about 14 tears they ruptured and she had to have them removed and replaced. Now we suspect that there might be a problem again. We were sent a form and we filled it out saying that we wanted to opt-in to the class action suit but we have not heard anything else. I have tried in vain to get some leagal help but no local attourneys are willing to take the case. Maybe some one out there has some information that will help or have a similar situation. Are we just S.O.L or is there something we can do to see if she can get what is rightfully hers under the settlement? Any info would be welcomed. THANX

surely this would be better than voting for a candidate who will promise you everything and deliver nothing, this way the country would be run by the people instead of the corrupt few

Say a 10% tax on all revenues generated.

Just curious to see what each side thinks of a flat tax.

i basically lied to my boyfriend about my whole life, the lies didnt really effect him but he thought whole my whole backround was something different than it really was(for example i told him my mom abandonded me)...he caught me in a few big lies but even when he caught me i still didnt admit to it fully (for example when i told him about being abandonded by my mom i said i was homeless for 5 years when i was little, then when he caught me i told him i was just staying with friends most of the time and only on the street every once in a while, when thruthfully i was never abandonded at all) finally last night he caught me in another lie and i confessed to him about everything...so were trying to figure out how i can get help to stop lying, what can i do?

Do you think it is hypocritical that people who support the war and are within the age limit to join the military do not join the service and volunteer to go to Iraq. Well you might say you have a family and a job, so does the National guard and Reserve soldiers! Why is it easy for you to say fight and die in a muslim civil war but you risk nothing? Do you think supporting the war means insulting liberals why you sit safely at home watching fox news risking nothing? If it is worth fighting for isn't it worth serving? If so I welcome you to Iraq, a slaughter house on every street corner, if you do not want to come here and serve ( we could need you)than support the troops and demand we come home. put up or shut up.

Most people complained that the smoke in restaurants and other public places was disturbing them, so many places are now enacting laws to eliminate smoking at public places, including bars.

However, I think I am more disturbed by another social stigma: secondhand rap.

Whenever I take a walk downtown, or sometimes even out of my house, I am assaulted by it. I am forced to listen to it at red lights and in traffic. And, like secondhand smoke, it is ALSO dangerous to your health: It may destroy your hearing.

Can we make laws against secondhand rap? Some cities have noise ordnances, but they never enforce them. I say, call your congressman about secondhand rap today!

A Texas deputy sheriff who fired shots at a fleeing vehicle after the driver tried to run him down faces 10 years in prison for injuring one of the passengers, a Mexican national being smuggled illegally into the United States.
The U.S. attorney, who won lengthy prison terms last year for two U.S. Border Patrol agents in the shooting of a drug-smuggling suspect, also prosecuted Edwards County Deputy Sheriff Guillermo F. Hernandez, who is to be sentenced next month.
The deputy's boss, Sheriff Donald G. Letsinger, said his officer -- who had been on the job for a year -- "followed the letter of the law" in defending himself in the April 2005 incident and questioned why the government brought charges This is a fine young man, and I just don't believe he committed the wrong of which he was accused," Sheriff Letsinger said. "I have never had anything hurt me so badly as this prosecution. We've got to make this right."
Rep. Ted Poe, Texas Republican, called the prosecution and conviction of Hernandez, known to his friends as "Gilmer," "another example of how the federal government is more concerned about people [who are] illegally invading America than it is about the men who protect America."

ok, so my question is - did the authorities order the demolition of the WTC? Before people jump down my throat let me explain why Im asking - I dont think 9/11 was an inside job, or the work of GWB or dr evil or whatever. The footage of planes flying into the towers is undeniable, its stupid to argue that it was anything other than an act of terrorism.

But, the buildings collapsed vertically. Although Im no engineer I find it a bit weird that they would do this when hit from one side only. Is it possible that in order to prevent further loss of life that the towers were demolished in a controlled fashion? I think the horror of 9/11 could only be compounded if the WTC towers had collapsed onto other buildings.

Its a controversial question, Im not trying to offend anybody I just want to see what people think - could such an act be justified? Please please please dont fill the answer section with rants

Why even bother? Bush and Cheney have proven to be so untrustworthy with the use of Executive Branch powers, so shouldn't the Democrats be extremely wary of the Bush machine by now?

I want to start a grassroots movement to save the arts in New York.Especially at risk are live musicians , with the new sound rulings no one can play safely without the chance of the owner getting shut down and fined.I am not talking about Thrash bands, I am talking about 1 guitarist! Also at risk are dancers. They are beginning to fine the owners by a 1926 law that prohibits DANCING! New York is my hometown.I was born here. It is becoming so PC and personally and for the sake of artist's everywhere-how can I organize this movement?

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney are chiefly responsible for getting the USA into this intractable mess, so considering their performance, especially in foreign affairs...why can't we start by merely replacing Bush...first. Why wait until January of 2009 for this to occur? Wouldn't it be easier and quicker and less painful to end things mercifully by merely impeaching Bush? Of course Cheney would step in, but I suspect that Cheney would be next.
