He doesn't even understand what he is saying. How is anyone else supposed to make sense of his mindless chatter?

"Families is where our nation finds hope.." is a badly spoken phrase that means that it is from within the family, from the comfort and warmth and support of the family unit, that the future and the hopes for the future are born and nourished. This is because it is the children who are the future, and the family, the traditional family, is the best place for them to grow.

"...where wings take dream." is just a brainfart; it should be "where dreams take wing." This means where dreams and hopes grow.

I suppose there's some childish satisfaction to be had to attack a public person for not having great oratory skills, but public speaking is not an indicator of intelligence or leadership, and really has little bearing on whether a person can do the job.

I think that "Families is where our nation finds hope," means that our families need to be strengthened. Fewer divorces and more meals all together at the table. The part that says "where wings take a dream," I really have no idea what that means. Maybe he's being poetic? -but I don't know.

It means "Make the pie higher!"

I think if you type "Bush poetry" into your favorite search engine, you might hit a free-verse "poem" someone cobbled together from various Bush-isms.

It might be called "Make the Pie Higher" but I'm not sure that's it's title.

As usual when he opens his mouth, he's just mindlessly stringing words together, mangling language, meaning, sense, and truth.

I always assumed that he was trying to quote "Dreams" by Langston Hughes, but he mangled it terribly:

“Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken winged bird
That cannot fly.”

"Cheapscat" is on the right road to understanding....

The part that says "where wings take a dream," obviously meaning that one needs only pursue the dreams of tomorrow by doing something to reach those dreams today!

"The mind is a terrible thing to waste!"
