In the coming World War 3, where do you predict the flashpoint that kicks everything off will be?

The flashpoint will be in the Middle East. There is more than enough hatred to go around there. Sunnis fighting with Shias with tones of genocide. These are arab neighbors who are muslim. Now, change the scenario from Sunnis and Shias to Arabs and Jews. The hatred rises to 100 times the religious and political hatred. Israel has publically stated that they will not allow an Arab neighbor to develop an atomic weapon. Iran has stated that they are working on developing a nuclear weapon. Pakistan, although non-arab, is Muslim and already has nuclear weapons. Imagine a scenario where Israel's intelligence forces learn that Iran is close to fielding a nuclear weapon. It is certain that Israel would attack and at least take out the nuclear weapon and the facility that built it. This would mean war against Iran and inflame the Arab world and possibly the Muslim world against Israel. If attacked by very many countries Israel would have no option but to use it's nuclear weapons. At this point, Russia, China, India and all other nuclear countries would take sides and it is likely that other nuclear attacks could follow. This is why it is almost impossible for the United States to stay out of Middle Eastern politics. We must prevent Israel from taking such action or we would face much worse than a few terrorists or getting caught in in the middle of a civil war in Iraq. You can see that the United States must prevent arab countries from producing a nuclear weapon to avoid Israel's involvement. This is WW III waiting to happen. My theory is based on logic, history and current events. Strangely enough, the Bible also seems to indicate a nuclear battle involving Israel and it's neighbors.

You, like many people only think WW III can be a massive nuclear exchange.
I think WW III already started, on 9-11.

It is a low level, low intensity war of small battles in many nations, each with some supposedly local issue but the underlying cause is the Fundamental Islamics are on Jihad and have the support of between 30% and 60% of the Muslim world, depending upon which survey you view.

The sooner the world wakes up to that fact, the quicker it will fight back effectively and the war will end before it goes nuclear.

As for the start of a conventional WW III, I think the likely scenarios include, but not limited too, China (soon to be a super power) attacking Taiwan, Iran/Venezuela acquiring a nuclear bomb and attacking someone, or North Korea attacking either South Korea or Japan.

There is also the irrational hatred of the numerous religious/ethnic factions of the Middle East [Sunnis, Shiite, Kurds, Arabs, Jew, etc] that boggles the mind.

But, I think that WW III has already started. I think, just like the world was hesitant to believe that WW II had started when Germany attacked Poland, that we have yet to accept the fact that radical Islamic terrorist have declared war on all free societies. I think when historians look back at history in hind sight, they will determine the start of WW III as the bombings at the U.S Embassies in Africa.

In the United States, lots of unrest here (amongst 'Americans', the very thing that made our country great being a melting pot is the very thing that will and is destroying us from the inside out) and there are many other countries waiting for our fall and may even be conspiring just so we fall. May start off as a civil war first then go into a world war.

Iraq and Iran and Afghanistan will be the primary zone. Iran is building nuclear reactors which would lead to an air sorty from either Israel or U.S. based aircraft carriers. Iran is sending supplies and soldiers to Iraq and probably Afghanistan. Iran borders the oil shipping channels which could lead to a spark in an effort to cut down available oil supply. Iran is economically dependent on oil and if price drops to low it would lead to a collapse of the Iran government.

Pakistan....sooner or later the world will face the fact of how 2 faced they really are and be forced to deal with them. They will fire the first missile because they are to stupid to see what it will cause. China will see that as a chance to dominate the world and it will be all over. WW3 will take about 2hrs to be faught. Mind you with human kind all but wiped out, nature will have time to recooperate and the planet should revive itself in a few thousand years.
