the United States of America stands for democracy and equality. however everytime a conflict arises across the world, we intervene. the US prevents other nations from obtaining nuclear weapons of capabilities of any kind and yet we have the largest inventory of weaponry in the world. is the US the "justice" of the world? does America have the right to judge other nations as if we were superior?

It seems that if Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds had safe areas where there was heavy troop coverage and tight border control for those areas, ordinary Iraqis could get on with their lives. It would also be safe for ordinary people other than soldiers to go into Iraq and help (via groups like the Peace Corps and Habitat for Humanity) to build things that won't get immediately torn down and restore some sort of normalcy to the many Iraqis not interested in having a civil war.

There are many women who are unfit mothers but still get granted custody of their kids plus child support. When the children are better off with their fathers. There are some fathers who work off their tails for their children And the sad part is how friends, family, and the schools see it but the court doesn't.

Do you or don't you agree that English as a second language should be a course for children , in elementary school, who were born in the United States?

I, for one, believe that if one is born in the US, English should be the primary language. If the family chooses to only speak their native language, i.e Arabic, Spanish,Swahili, French, etc, we should not waste resources to teach the children "English as a Second Language."

What do you think?
