When people go to war it is a GIVEN that many innocent children/adults will die, you cant call them accidents.
If killing is killing, what is the difference?

Abortion for medical reasons is at least somewhat acceptable, or at least understandable. Besides rape, it's my opinion that there is no other good reason to have an abortion.
In war, things will happen. Civilians are going to be killed no matter what. Maybe that sounds callous, but in EVERY war, innocents are killed.
I'm not "for" war. How could ANY person be "for" war? However, I do think that it's sometimes necessary, and that there is nothing braver than a person who makes the decision to serve their country in that capacity.
Who am I to judge what a person does while they're "rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar's"? Only God is the judge of that.
Besides, there's a difference between killing and MURDER.

Interesting comparison, one the child has no say. The other has the ability to sign on the dotted line for active duty. WAR is not a picnic or a gala affair. If we all had a Utopian society there would be no need for war. Love, mercy and brotherhood is all missing around the world. I would also like to add the USA troops did not kill 151 people in Iraq today but a suicide bomber did. Now I wouldn't suppose you would have the answer how to stop these people, would you?

the person having the abortion decides that a specific person is going to die-- the baby.

the person starting the war only knows that some casualties will occur, but does not set out to kill specific people. In fact, the US more than any other nation tries to minimize these unintended casualties.

Another way to think of it is this: if your reasons for going to war were always superseded by the risk to innocent civilians, you would never go to war, and that would not be right either.

Some one posted something about going to war and doing your duty to your country serves the economy.

Anyone dumb enough to claim that we "protect the rights of the unborn" is not qualified to even mention economics

USA will fight viciously to protect the rights of the unborn.
But when a young man still in his teens graduates from high school it is his duty to fight for his country knowing most will die.
It is a sacrifice they are willing to make.
It keeps the economy going and the almighty dollar is the motivating force in the USA. that and oil interests.
they actually don't care if babies are aborted but being the christian right have to come out against something most people can agree with and abortion seems to be it.
The fact that thousands of Iraq are killed women and children shows that unborn babies are not really that great of a priority for them, but saying they are against something gives them respectability.

And what should be done to the young woman who through drug use,or alcohol consumption,or reckless life styles of any kind, causes the termination of pregnancy, is this not a form of abortion, and should she not be charged with a crime ,as well..

As a Christian, I know that all killing is wrong. I don't make the distinction that you claim that I make.

God will not make a distinction. Killing is killing. Jesus said "turn the other cheek".
