I keep reading that 'we havent been attacked for 5 years, you should thank Bush" I mean, has there ever been another time in history that we weren't attacked for 5 years and we thanked the president?

During the time when drugs where legal and cheaper then alcohol what happened that fords first engines that ran on Booze got adjusted to run on gas made from oil .
The people that made Booze knew that if the cars ran on Booze and it was mass produced with little pricing control and government regulation then they would be out of business .Ethonal a better fuel was just one of many things denied the people of America in order for the first special interest groups ,who's only interest is sucking the working man dry , to gain control over running America .

If big business supports and lobbies for a soft policy on Illegal immigration, then the democrats, who hate big business, will have more votes. Is that really in the best interest of big business in the long run? Or us--that's our 401Ks we're talking about?

friend got a call from his ex gf who claims that she was beaten up by him-he claims he didn't touch her-the police have a warrant for him or he can turn himself in-is that possible? supposedly the bail is set for $300 and he can sit in prison for any length of time if he doesn't produce bail money or if a court hearing isn't due till there is a date given-i am confused-what is the straight and narrow on this situation? can someone still be asked to go to a court hearing if he pays the bail AND turns himself in to the cops? or does he get tried regardless in court even if he pays the bail, stays a night in jail? why would he stay in jail IF he pays bail? please help! he mentioned that he maybe obligated to go to anger managment classes-

i know terrorism is bad, but how many people were as scared 6 years ago as they are now? doesnt it seem that this administration uses that word so often that its sole purpose is to scare people? they would have you believe that there are millions upon millions of terrorists out there waiting to get their shot at america, though we have seen no more (except on our troops.) Don't you think this administration uses this word because they have nothing else to go on? Isn't the threat of terrorism at least slightly exaggerated? you can't discuss bush without bringing up terrorism. That's all he's got!!!

With this simple logics, it is us who should back them because they helped us during the Independence war. Also, the US went to war only when the Russians started to defeat the Nazis (to avoid that they contol Europe) and because Japanese attacked us. We did not care during the 3 first years of the war!

French were right not to back us in Iraq. Had more country done so, we wouldn't have been there!
They were also right about the fact there were no WMD in Iraq. We were wrong and misled all the way by Bush's gang.

I know Immigration is a hot topic now and my situation is probably hopeless, but I need some general answers. Here is my situation, I came to the United States around 15 yrs ago on an F-1 Student Visa and due to the great impression this country left on me, and I decided to stay. I was able to get a Drivers License and a Valid SSN. I know I should have left a long time ago, but this Country left a great impression on me and I foolishly decided to stay. I have a made a life here and have no more ties to my original country. My problem stems from the following:

First of all am I technically an Illegal Alien or Undocumented Alien
Second of all, I have a job with an Operations Company and they are working in the harbor and require me to apply for a customs identification card. I don’t want to break any more laws but will I be considered illegal resident and subject to arrest. Third of all , if I tell my employer that I have some immigration problems but that I still have valid document for employment, are they obligated to fire me and my last question is , considering the current political climate, what are the best options for regularizing my stay ?

1. I am not anti-Semetic but I have serious issues with Zionism.

So i really hate going to walmart and i hardly shop there but i went anyway because its close and i was in a hurry. i went with my brother (who is 19, im 22) along with some baking supplies on xmas eve to go buy some wine for our family dinner. the dumb ***** cashier asks for my ID, checks it, and says ok. then she asks for my brother's ID, and refused to sell us alcohol. Apparently I had the intent to provide to minors. Like i was gonna get smashed with my brother on christmas with a bottle of cheap wine and some browney mix. now, im sure if i went in there with a little kid they would have sold it to me. did they discriminate against me? is there government agency i can report this to?

Let me start off by saying I'm not expressing an opinion on immigration.........
I often hear people say "I'm fine with immigrants if they'd just come here legally and pay taxes". In reply I always ask "How do you come to the United States legally and pay taxes?" and I have yet to have anyone really know the answer to that question. They just say something vague like "Well you have get papers." Does anyone know?

I don't think it will.. many officials have been elected with past drug use.. even presidents have been .... it seems to me that it makes the officials more human somehow to the voting populace... it might even actually help him.
