I was wondering if cellphones can receive collect calls from jail? My house phone can't receive any collect calls. Is there any way that the person in jail can call my house without being a collect call?

Hi,
I am litigating a case in NY. As part of the discovery I have asked defendent (who was CEO) to present coporate documents to prove his claims that certain busniess events occured in the past. His asnwer was that the company is no longer active and that all corporate documents and audits have been destroyed. My quesiont is, Is there a requirement in the law to keep those records? If yes for how long?

Regards,
Channan

I need to know where to find, where to look for free public police and arrest records.Everything cost to look. I just need to find out if some one was given a ticket at a certain place at a certain time.Or if this person was even pulled over for any reason. Because this person was at my home when they were supposed to be ticketed. And I was wondering if maybe there has been some kind of I.D. theft going on. So if there is any one that can help me I would appreciate it. thank you.

For personal reasons my husband and I cannot use contraceptives. We really can not afford to have another child right now. But I can't deny him sex, either. We make too much money to get any type of social service but we would go bankrupt if we have another kid. Does anybody have any advice? I feel like only people with money should be allowed to have sex but how is this fair?

Now for the real me I would make health insurance available for everyone as in the long run prevention saves money. I would improve our education system more money for schools more teachers per students ratio, get communities involved in having after school programs everyplace, reward neighborhoods and cities for reducing crime and upgrading properties, make sure we take care of our country 1st and then help the other countries unless they are starving. We need to teach countries to become
self sufficient so they can take care of themselves

I was really surprised to hear the Senator from Nevada sounding very bipartisan and like he was looking forward to working together with the Republicans - but Nancy? She's really sounding strident/inflexible. Does this worry anyone else? Would it make more sense for the Dems to choose someone else?

(In case it matters to you, I'm third party.)

i think so, mccain & his gang of five i think they were called were constantly blocking bush from getting things done. from immigration reform to tax cuts. the really ironic thing is the dem's supported bush on many of these measures but it was mcain & his five that kept blocking the votes. funny isn't it pelosi is now saying the dem's have all these plans & they are the very same ones bush was pushing & couldn't get through because of mccain and his group now that the dem's have control of the house and senate they will push and vote these very popular with the ppl reforms through & make it look like it was their ideas all along....brilliant strategy working with mccain & his gang but the dem's have always been good at political strategy. the rep's just think by doing the right thing & not confronting them is the best way. its not you have to confront dishonesty and deceit. mccain is nothing but a fox in the hen house & no more a rep than howard dean, he just hides it better.

OK, so no license, no registration, to drive it "to and from work". Still lives at home.

Question is, are the parents liable if (and/or when) the kid crashes the car? In this state, the kid is past Juvenile Matters court. Would that still make the parents liable until he is 18? Having heard all you'll say (illegal, dangerous, etc.), what can be done to restrain the child from driving without a license and registration?

Keep it rational, no abusers opinions requested, please
