i think so, mccain & his gang of five i think they were called were constantly blocking bush from getting things done. from immigration reform to tax cuts. the really ironic thing is the dem's supported bush on many of these measures but it was mcain & his five that kept blocking the votes. funny isn't it pelosi is now saying the dem's have all these plans & they are the very same ones bush was pushing & couldn't get through because of mccain and his group now that the dem's have control of the house and senate they will push and vote these very popular with the ppl reforms through & make it look like it was their ideas all along....brilliant strategy working with mccain & his gang but the dem's have always been good at political strategy. the rep's just think by doing the right thing & not confronting them is the best way. its not you have to confront dishonesty and deceit. mccain is nothing but a fox in the hen house & no more a rep than howard dean, he just hides it better.

i only thought there were 5...thanks for clarifying that. it must be very hurtful to be so betrayed but i think bush does have the best interests of the american ppl at heart and would gladly throw himself on the sword so to speak to do whats best.

BABS - i don't dislike mccain as you assumed but facts are facts, even mccain admitted to his and his gangs actions...its no secret...be careful of judging and assuming without truth behind it.

You got that right. The gang of fifteen wanted to liked by the media and stood in the way of getting alot of things done .Now for the Democrats to win they had to sound Conservative to win the election .The gang of fifteen were scared of being talked bad about and stood in the way of getting things done.

I don't even know how to answer this, WOW. You know the National Deficit was big news the last 50 years for every President until now, It was always reported if we were starting to go into debt, you can not spend more than you have, It makes for all false growth, were trillions in dept, the average family of 4 owe about 120,000 to pay for tax cuts for rich and war. YOU CANT JUST KEEP GOING INTO DEBT. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if a family of four has to borrow 120,000 and has NOTHING to show for it, They are not getting ahead and they are looking at a bleak future. This is meant as a honest question, not a flame, but in what way are we ahead. I believe in checks and balances, that way neither party can screw things up, the far right will cancel out the far left and we normally meet in the middle. 4% of the people have gotten massively rich while 80% have to pay for it. You have to remember, the rich were rich before this. Do we do tax cuts and make a bigger deficit?, or perhaps put it the way it was 7 years ago when things were more balanced, many people made lots of money and everything.

Absolutely.
The democrats didn't win this election, The Republicans just lost, & the Democrats just happened to be the only other game in town.

I wouldn't blame McCain, but other Republicans helped the Dems take power for sure

I take it you don't like John McCain. The vote was more anti-Republican than pro-Democrat but there were a lot of good Democratic candidates this year.

Another problem for George is that he never has a fallback plan, whereas McCain has a couple

yep a lot of Republicans did. Most moderate, fiscally conservative Republicans were disinfranchized by Bush and the neocons embracing the extremist right wing social conservative agenda, and becoming so arrogant that they lost faith with their political base.
