by the Prison doctor?

I mean it would be cheaper for us taxpayers for them to go on Methadone than for them to have to go cold turkey and then us to have to pay them loads of compensation out of our taxes because their "human rights" *cough* were "breached" wouldn't it?

Currently, John Murtha has House Speaker-in-waiting Nancy Pelosi's support for the position. Do you think it is A GOOD THING, as Martha Stewart might say, that Bush may have no choice but to be civil to John Murtha as House Majority Leader?

I side more liberal or Demo but I also believe we can`t leave Iraq after we have screwed it up for the people there. Would it cost anymore money and lives if we were to just go there FULL force with our military and take care of this situation . Look at it now, at this rate we have another Vietnam that will go on a long time. If you add up all those years and lives which way would be better. Now that Bush got it started we have to finish it. The way it looks now to other countries is that we are weak and our military leaders are stupid. We better do something drastic with Iraq soon and put some fear into Irans butt cuz we will end up having to deal with them soon

What SHOULD they try to do? What should be left to the private sector? Do you expect to pay more or less for government services as opposed to finding a similar service in the private sector? Why should we even bother with govenerment? Do you trust government agencies? Is Big Government bad? Is Big Business bad?

How can a criminal who has committed a crime against society severe enough to justify being locked up, get compensation against his punishment?
Are we going to have criminals sue because they're being deprived of sex? Shopping?
The judge said it amounted to torture. While I agree that coming off drugs is dreadful, how can someone else be held accountable for your own stupidity? Taking drugs harms you! If you go to prison, you have to go without!

This seems to be a classic theme in all police tv shows and movies, cops having to hand in their badge and guns, and only then are able to get evidence and bring down the criminal (who is usaully a high-ranking businessman or public official).

Does this ever happen in real life? I'd be interested to hear from real cops, who'll know if this have really ever happened (or is it just an overused story-line for cops shows).

Rudy Giuliani filed papers last Friday in New York to create the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee Inc.
He is probably testing the waters for a possible run for the White House.
Yes, I admire the man - not only for the way he handled the events of 9/11 but the way he operated the NYC Mayors office.

Should he run?
If so, would you vote for him...and why?

gun control legislation won't deter criminals from accessing firearms?

They never seem to be able to substantiate their bogus claims with statistical evidence because deep down inside they know how wrong they are. Yet they continue to be so closed-minded about the issue. This is just one of the many ways that the political left is trying to destroy this country.

Apparantly Bin Laden has warned the west and can now justify to fellow Muslims their right to kill 10 million infidels by nueclear bomb. As iran has nuclear capabilities what do other Muslims think of this? As a white westerner why should i be threatened into converting to Islam? Unless i convert by the year 2020 i,m apparantly doomed.

I went to Berlin last year with my (now ex)boyfriend,& stayed with his friends. We went out for a drink, and as they didn't speak English I couldn't make myself understood as to who was minding their 6 year old son.Later on in the evening i managed to ask my boyfriend who was minding the child,& he said no-one.I wanted to go back straight away as I thought 6 years old is way to young to be left alone(I have 2 children myself,a few years older,& I still don't leave them on their own)I was told to stop making a fuss as the child has been getting left on his own since he was 2 years old.I was getting quite upset by now,& was told to stop making a scene as it was legal in Germany to leave a child on their own once they are able to use a telephone. They have since had another child who is now nearly one year old,& I have heard that they are coming to England for a 2 week visit,I am worried they will be left alone in a strange country(child only speaks Turkish&German)

Whether it be on assignment or a small unit exchange. I had two myself. I was fortunate to go to Fort Benning to the US Ranger School and had a very good time with the 3rd Bn 7th Infantry just after the Vietnam War. The other time was on assignment with the 1st Bn British Para in Cyprus in 76. Both times were a real experience I won't forget. How about you?

I just got an abuse violation from yahoo answers, purely cos someone didnt like my resonse. It was not rude or abusive. It spawned several questions back at me, one being a death threat! Other people read into them and agreed that it was him being abusive and eventually he admitted he was 16 and just being stupid. Is this system abused itself? Have a lot of people receieved these from immature people who cant take a response they dont like?

1. My doctor is wonderful (Muslim)and a real fully integrated Englishman.
2. The guys who run our local shop (Muslims)are fantastic- better service than M & S, and good friendly banter when you're in there, can't do enough for you.
3. Our local Indian restaurant (Muslim) is great, everyone loves the place, the staff & management are respected all round.

It is apparent that when any immegrant comes here and takes on the full English way of life, and integrates with the locals, then religion/race/colour are simply not an issue to anyone. Life is good and everyone benefits from the cultural exchange.
Why, oh Why don't more of the 'normal' Muslims stand up and support this wonderful country of ours ?
Why are they not shouting down these vicious Extremists who are unfairly tainting all good Muslims, and causing their religion to be brought into disrepute ?
