+ So you would send me back there to fight the hoards of skinny's. I was shot three time delivering food and medical supplies the last time and almost had my ship blown out of the water. They are not very greatfull for the humanitarian efforts we sent last time. Why do you think they have changed in the last 10 years? Do you think the ungratefulls have all moved on? If you are so willing to help why don't you get on a plane and do it or is it someone else's responsibility and you can just sit back and watch us come home in pieces for trying to help. Yes I am bitter about how they are and I for one am not willing to return.

Because when we say we are still in Iraq so we can help them out, the country says that is none of our business. So what would make Sudan any different. I tell you it doesn't ! We should be in Dafur. We the United States are the greatest nation ever and the most powerful military force to date. To use a line from a comic book"With great power comes great responsibility!". We have the ability to remove most of the "Bad Guys" from the world but when we get rid of one, the world bitches. The reason we will never go into Sudan is because the world finds a way to quietly say that is none of our business these days. I thank god the WWII Veterans did not think the same. Other wise might all be speaking German.

It is truely AWFULL what is taking place there. I agree but you know what We have our hands full with Iraq and soon enough IRAN. we need to focus on the ones that can really blow us off the map and destroy our economy. Why is it America always has the obligation for this kind of stuff ? There are other countries that could help in this fight but they just sit back and let us have to do it. That is one of the plans ,,, to spread us out SO thin we are weak I`m glad I live in America and it is a compationate country but where do we draw the line and help ourselves. We will be like sudan one of these days with the terrorists here if we don`t stay focused on our own national security.

What do you suggest sending in troops to stop the killings, hey didn't this president try something like that recently he really got a lot of support for it. The behavior of the democratic party is going to make it almost impossible to help anyone militarily around the world because despot will take note that we are not a united country and we will not intervene unless attack directly. As for the UN don't hold your breath.

China and Russia who are permanent members of the UN security council are vetoing the establishment of a UN mission. Both have interests in Sudan, especially oil and mining, and the country is a market for their arms interests.

As Leogirl has shown, they care not for the Africans. Let someone else deal with it, right?
As long as the United States cannot profit, we will not enter, and most could care less, about Somalia or Sudan.

The UN is supposed to take the lead on this, as they should have in Iraq. They are too slow and too encumbered to help anyone until it is way too late. Too many cry that the US needs to do something and then cry that the USA is war happy. Europe will do nothing as they were thrown out years ago. It is up to the UN and the UN alone..... too bad. Africa is dying, Africans need to be the first in line to stop this. Then African Americans and African Europeans need to step up. Then the world will help make it permanent.

Sudan? Who are they? Why should we help people who don't have natural resources (except slave labor)--how can we rape the country if we don't make big profit from it?

Hey? People are whining about war? Let the liberals go and fight this one. Or France, or Russia, or someone else.
